What would happen if you went fishing in alien waters?
Some thing like this.
These are zrobi - they were brought to earth by some of the first successful space explorers, as unsuspecting larva.
The were place in earth waters as a test, most not expecting them to survive ...
They did not only survive, they thrived, becoming one of the most alien invasive species to litter earths waters.
They are extremely odd creatures.
They are entirely aquatic, though their front fins resemble wings.
No body is really sure why they have eyes upon their backs, as they don't seem to be effective, but they do know that the Zrobi can not survive with out them. If they are injured or removed the Zrobi slowly deteriorates, and eventually perishes.
They are an intelligent species, but are not know to vocalize.
The eat just about anything.
They are most noted for their oddly fur like appearance, though it it not fur , but rather large strings of slime.
They have 3 sets of bottom fin, and large venomous fangs.
Goat like horns, and oddly small in proportion tails.
Adult Zrobi are primarily peaceful creatures.
Zrobi as an invasive species are prolific breeders, a female may have up to 10 larvae per batch...
However typically only 1 or two per batch survive.
Part of this is due to the aggressive behavior of the young Zrobi. Unlike their adult counterparts the young, seemingly defenseless larvae are vicious, not shy of using their very potent venom against unprokoving passer-bys and even attacking the back eyes of their own littermates effectively removing them from competition. Mortality among young Zrobi is extremely high.
