how do they celebrate the holidays?
Most times, Primitives don't have the time or ability to celebrate any holidays, as being in the open could lead to an early demise from someone with more tails than you, or a human wanting to hunt you down. And while others are supposed to live in desert environments and not even know about holidays, Reyes knows about them. When he was domestic, before his owner tossed him out to fend for himself after he caused massive damage to the house, he used to love the holidays. He'd always wait for his owner to come home so they could celebrate and have meals and be so happy together, celebrating whatever there was to be celebrated. Thankfully, some things can be celebrated a bit easier with him knowing that most primitive halinhi are in deserts, and not in the snowy forest-biome he was dumped in.
In his current state, he's often too afraid to go outside, often staying in his own home, made out of a giant den of a badger that has long since gone away. He can't do much of what he did before, but he likes to celebrate in whatever way he can, even if it's pathetic to the point of tears. He'll draw on the walls of his den, make little images of things he remembers from the holiday and hoping that part of him can pretend he's still home. He'll put his paws together and sing songs from the holidays, love songs he remembers form valentines, Christmas songs that he never got out of his head, spooky songs from Halloween. He desperately tries to keep himself from going primitive, but still stay alive, but when you're singing and someone's looking for you, it become less enjoyable, and more terrifying.
Reyes will try to eat based off holidays if he can, trying to eat pumpkins during Halloween, strawberries and such during valentines, and sometimes, he'll hope that someone drops something made by humans while hunting, and he'll snatch that to be a meal for Christmas. He feels that it's so painful to do all of this without his owner, and while he's in a place where he could be hurt so very badly, but he tries his best. Just because he's not in the best place at the moment, doesn't mean he can't take time to celebrate like he did before.
