Welcome to betta adopts! Here you can find bettas to adopt based off of betta splendens and even some wild type varieties. We are currently working on producing a variety of tail and fin types, but for now we have plakats and veil tails! Please be sure to read all of the information below before you decide to take a few home.
General Rules
• You may own an unlimited amount.
• Please be respectful to everyone on here.
• You may not transfer your betta to another species.
• Trading/selling your bettas for any currency is not currently allowed.
• Please don't ask for customs, they will be given out at events only/are for staff members.
• If you want to readopt/gift one of your fish contact an owner so the readoption/gifting can be approved.
• You may not edit your fish in any way, including adding items. Changing the background is fine, however!
• You may not breed your bettas outside of these adopts, and all breedings must be done by an official staff member.
Staff Notes/Rules
• Be fair when judging. You may not accept bribery or anything along those lines
• Please notify an owner if you are going to be inactive for more than a few weeks.
• You may make 1 custom a month for yourself (or you may gift it) uncommon and under.
Rarities
[Artists - please note that you can make edits to the preset tail types without it changing the rarity.
You just have to make sure the tail stays the same type. Ex - Going from the normal crown tail lines
and editing them to make them look like this or this. As long as they still look like a crown tail it's fine.]
Common - Plakats, veil tails, halfmoons, small fin tears
Uncommon - Dumbos, delta tails, spade tails, crown tails, larger fin tears
Rare - double tails, wild types, rose tails,
Not allowed - Color patterns not found on normal bettas

Hello! I'm one of the owners here and a huge betta nerd. I have 5 kids of my own (3 plakats, 1 halfmoon, and 1 delta tail), and I love them all to death. I've been keeping bettas for a little under a year now, my first being on 5-9-2017. I have a fair amount of experience with these guys, so if you're having any problems with your IRL bettas feel free to either contact me or pop into our Discord and I'm sure one of us can give you a hand.
