coco was born with peppermint bark stuck all over his back, everyone made fun of him for looking weird and as he grew older he started the shed the delicious candies everywhere, he also discovered the he could just eat them whenever he wanted, he started collecting them to give away seeing as they were shedding and growing back faster than he could eat them, and soon he became quite popular for his fur, one day he gave some to his older brother cliff and of course cliff only ate a few before he lost them, Coco was trying to think a a solution and while he was eating the candies off his back, he had it! he ran over to find his brother and told him to try gluing the candy to his fur, cliff though that it was a bad idea but he tried it and it worked, he started experimenting with other candies until Coco told his friend about the glue he used, his friend thought it would be funny to swap out his edible glue with superglue, Coco told them it was a horrible idea, but they wouldn't listen when the glue was swapped Coco had a bad feeling and couldn't find his friend anywhere, he realized they must had done it, he rushed back to go warm his brother, but he was already gone, Coco sighed, the he decided he must be wrong maybe his friend slept in late and this was all a misunderstanding, he had to find out he ran over to where Cliff kept his glue, he had no plan, so he just stuck his tongue in it, he spat it out, YUCK. Now all he could do was hope it wasn't superglue and something weaker, he ran over to where his friend lived only to find it was empty, he sighed and told his brother about the prank when he got back saying that he couldn't get the sprinkles off, he told Cliff about his friend but, there was nothing they could do, none of the pillowtails had a clue where they had gone, so Coco and Cliff had candy on their back, cliff was very grumpy and he hoped the it would come off soon, Coco liked it because he wouldn't want it any other way, as cliff grew used to it he started to like the sweet smell, though Coco couldn't smell it over his peppermint bark, he gave Cliff some of it and told him not to loose it, he tried to take the blame for the whole thing but cliff just pretended like it was his idea, Coco felt somewhat relived when he heard this, and he made new friends BETTER friends, he was very happy and continued to eat hit peppermint candies.

❝ What was this magnificent smell coming from
this pink box? The label had been torn off, or it
was on the bottom, she couldn't tell, and even
if there had been one in her sight, she couldn't
have read it anyway. A picture would have been
helpful, so she could see what was inside, but
alas, there was none. There was a flap of the
box slightly opened though, one she could use
to open, and she began to bite at the box with
her teeth, scratching the rest of it with her
claws in the process. She finally managed to
get it open after half of the flap was all soggy
in her mouth, and when she saw what was
inside, her eyes widened with glee. It was all
sweet peppermint candies! Minty fresh
peppermint on chocolate bark and dripping
over pretzels. Oh how had she gotten so
lucky to find such a thing? She quickly shoved
her head inside to taste the goodies, and she
felt as if she were in heaven. It all tasted so
good, so delicious, and she hadn't even
noticed how covered in all of it she became
as she drifted off to sleep after a- very-
filling desert with her head inside the box,
a piece of bark still held between her jaws,
and pretzels sticking out from her
pillowy tail. ❞
