Some tips:
  • The head is an oval, not a circle.
  • People are usually about 7-8 heads tall. It doesn't have to be exact, but generally the body is that many head lengths tall.
  • The neck is almost as wide as the head.
  • The legs take up about half of the person's height.
  • The arms are long enough that they reach the middle of the thigh.
  • Sketching is very helpful; you can faintly see my sketches in the image.

How I draw feet:
  1. Draw a trapezoid with the small end attached to the leg
  2. Draw a semi-circle on the big end of the trapezoid.

Drawing faces:
  • Draw a vertical line down the middle of the face.
  • Draw a horizontal line across the middle of the face. This line is where the eyes will be.
  • The space between the eyes is the same as the width of the eye.
  • Draw a horizontal line between the eye line and the chin. This is where the nose goes.
  • Draw a horizontal line between the nose line and the chin. This is where the mouth goes.
  • Draw a horizontal line between the eye line and the top of the head. This is approximately where the hair starts.
  • Just drawn the eyebrows somewhere above the eyes. I completely forgot about eyebrows while making this oops.

I'd recommend that you try these things one at a time and eventually put them together to draw a person because this is a lot of information. The most important thing is to keep practising. If you need clarification or more tips, you can PM me.
