Painting the Gray Away

After lots of time of searching she was able to find the essence of each color hidden through the land. She added spots and stripes to her grey body and pondered where she must begin to return color. She looked up at a once beautiful starry night sky, now only shades of grey. She painted the sky, added each star individually, then painted the universe with all its radiant colors. The colors of grey began to concentrate into living beings, trying desperately to fight her away. But she stood strong, and added color till the sky was full. Then, it began to rain. At first she worried, then she watched as the rain washed away the beasts. She realized that the sky was taking her colors, and washing the land with them, returning color to its rightful places.
