Lissels are a species of large cats. Generally growing to the size of a large bear at maximum, Lissels are big cats. Despite their size, they are not predators, and instead live off of an omnivorous diet. Lissels come in two discovered breeds, adapted to different climates. These are the Polar and Tropical variants.

Polar lissels are a breed of the large cat that dwell in especially cold areas of the earth. They're very big, about the size of polar bears, and are the largest of the Lissel breeds. Their long tails are used to balance themselves when they walk on especially ice areas. They were considered a deity by many older civilisations, because their warm breath causes plants to flower even in the most desolate of regions.

Tropical Lissels are the smaller cousin of the Polar breed. Streamlined in comparison, their wiry muscle is used to scale trees and swim in the powerful flow of freshwater rivers. In this warm, wet climate, their powerful hot breath actually withers plants, and they have terrorised farmers that encroach on their forests, gaining the the awe and fear of civilisations over the centuries.
