With the combination of their plants, glowing tendrils, and "gems" (which are actually hard, vibrantly colored plates made out of the same material as their claws) the average Selniab is able to attract thousands of bugs nightly, which it then will consume. For their skills in pest control, they have been captured and sold as pets more and more commonly, but their population is still mainly wild.
