Amadi- 'Fated to die at birth'
Amadi's mother was forced out of her pride before he was born, and was unable to hunt well as she grew closer to having her cubs. She was barely surviving, and when she gave birth, one of the two cubs died within the first couple of hours, leaving only Amadi. His mother survived to just barely see the end of his first month, and finally named him with her last breath.
He was found and taken in by a lioness who seemed unable to have cubs of her own, raised as the heir of her pride. When she found herself pregnant at last, however, when Amadi was six months, he was unceremoniously kicked from the pride, and once again on his own. He's been on his own since.
