Many of you know that i recently had to put down my American Akita, Samuel (aka Littlebear) due to Bone cancer that had unknown to us, eaten through his hips. He was my best friend and one I could talk to in my saddest times. He, like every dog, never said a word and offered unconditional love.

You know, the Cherokee have a legend.

They say that our prayers rise upon the smoke, unto the heavens where the eagles fly. When the eagles see the smoke, they fly through it and gather our prayers on the feathers of their wings. The Eagles then fly up high into the heavens and give our prayers to the Great Creator. The feathers you see falling are our prayers answered.

Sammy, I know you are up there where the eagles fly now buddy, I know you are not hurting anymore and I know you ar erunning carefree and without a worry. I also know you are watching over me and my family.

I love you LittleBear. You are forever in my heart.
