[NEW THREAD]

A big thank you to our mascot PTP,
Noodle(above), for making our header
text! He's very proud of his handy-work.

Hello and welcome! Please, make yourself at home, and look around at all of our pythons! Maybe you'll even take one home.

News and Events

New Owner!

Image
Paint-Tailed Pythons(PTP) are a unique breed of pythons that have paint seeping from beneath the scales on their tail tips. PTP tend to be slightly smaller than their close cousins, ball pythons, females being around 2-3 feet long and males 1-2 feet long. Hatchlings are dramatically smaller at only 5 inches long.
Pythons tend to be quite intelligent, and PTP are no exception. PTP can be quite shy when first introduced to their owners, but will warm up quickly and soon become inseparable. They have exceptionally long lifespans, and have been known to live for upwards of 60 years.

Image

PTP come in an incredibly variety of colors and morphs. Some retain the natural coloration and striping of their Ball Python cousins, but others can have an array of unnatural colors and markings. Rarity is based on the most prominent or abundant color on the PTP:

Common: Yellow, Brown, Gold, Orange
Uncommon: Red, Green, Blue, Purple, Grey
Rare: White/very light, Black/very dark, or PPS

Their paint can be any color of the rainbow, and can sometimes - but rarely - be multiple colors. However, only extremely special or rare PTP can have greyscale paint. Their paint color commonly syncs with their eyecolor, but occasionally the two are different.

On occassion, PTP can also be born with additional mutations such at horns, visible fangs, or sometimes even fur!

Image
Each PTP will have a form to fill out if you'd like to adopt. The forms may be heavily complex, or simple raffles.

The limit of PTP owned is 7 normal adopts(includes runner-ups) and 6 nursery PTP breedings!

Customs do not count toward this limit.

If you ever decide you no longer want your PTP, contact the artist who made your PTP. They will hold a re-adoption for the design.
You may not sell or trade any PTP.

If you'd rather gift your PTP to someone else, PM this form to tn thousand, wait for approval, and then PM TurboCatZ with the same form:
Code: Select all
PTP Number and link:
Regular, Nursery, or Runner Up:
Username of previous owner:
Username of new owner:
Screenshot of permission from new owner:
Have you already gifted a PTP this month?:

The current owner should send the form. Once you're approved by ten thousand, TurboCatZ will make the change in the archive.
You may only gift a maximum of one PTP per month.
Re-adopting PTP is separate from gifting, but has the same limit of one per month.

Image

Custom PTP can be bred, but it can be quite difficult to breed them exactly how they are desired and are therefore quite rare! Usually, custom PTP will be given to staff as a 'thank you' for their work!

Very rarely, dedicated fans or kind members in the community will be offered a custom!

If you are a staff member and you qualify for a custom, PM me once you know what sort of design you'd like. You may design it if you choose, but if you'd prefer, I can.

Thank you for visiting, we hope to see you again soon!

Marking, ahh precious snake babies <3

I have a question. Is the paint washable? XD I'd assume so, but still.
I can see interesting scenarios going on there, haha.

The paint washes very easily from their scales..but it's not quite as easy to remove it from walls, clothes, and furniture! So be a little careful when letting them roam. C:
