Before I mess it up, tell me what to make better. I know the head is at a questionable angle, and the hands SUCK, but otherwise, what would you change?

I would add a background to make it stand out more... and maybe a couple hair lines?

Hands are tough to do, so I give kudos to you for even attempting. The piece as it is right now looks very flat. It has a lot of awesome traits thus far, and a great deal on potential, but I think maybe adding shoulder blade lines or spinal lines on her back would make the individual appear more dynamic. a background with a wide and open landscape will also add more dimension.
Besides that, you have an awesome start and I can't wait to see the finished product! Great job and keep up your awesome work- yah!
