Pocket Dragons
What are they
- Pocket Dragons, also called tiny dragons or PD's, are cute and (almost) harmless little creatures that you could find almost anywhere. They have been around for billions of years, their origin tracing back to a small lab near Antarctica. A mad scientist had been hoping to combine the DNA of various reptilian creatures to create the almighty dragon in many legends you may have heard about. Unfortunately, something else must have gotten into their DNA, causing them to be tiny and very cute. Devastated, the mad scientist put his creations in a box and dumped them near a large lake, hoping they would drown. Fortunately for the little things, they adapted to their environment very quickly. Some loved the land more than others, and the land dwellers kept their beloved mutations and set off into the world. The water dwellers, however, managed to shed whatever mutation they had and grew fins and harder scales as well as gills. They became more popular after a teenage girl found one in the streets and began to care for it. She spent countless hours researching the odd creature and decided to call them Pocket Dragons after their cute little size. After a few weeks of keeping it hidden in her room, she was startled to see that it could speak a very broken but somehow understandable English. He led her to a whole new world of species to begin researching. She eventually began rescuing injured Pocket Dragon and entrusting them to close friends. A little while later she opened her own little shelter where thousands of these dragons roam, looking for a home. Will you adopt one of these creatures?

Teen;; 5 years old-12 years old; 6-10 inches long, 7-10 inches high
Adult;; 13 years and older; 11-13 inches long, 1-1.5 feet tall
Accessories wrote:Pocket dragons have specially tailored items for their size, and can wear just about any clothing. Though they could have many different outfits, they dislike having to many clothes on at one time. Imagine having your heavy scales on top of a shirt with a hot sweater! you would eventually get tired and jut hate wearing accessories in general. You don't want that, do you?
Diet wrote:Though small, they eat a lot. These creatures devour everything they can, usually preferring meat over everything else. Though every dragons diet varies, all love one thing: candy. Nobody knows why they love candy so much, but they practically hoard it. Its their favorite thing to eat, and the easiest way to capture and tame a wild dragon. Though the candy that they absolutely go crazy for is rare, you could find some every here and there.

Habitat wrote:Depending on what type of dragon they are, Pocket dragons can thrive anywhere.
Mating Habits wrote:Pocket dragons normally mate for life, but if some incident where to happen and they split apart they may mate one more time after. Though this is rare, it occasionally will happen. They can breed once every 5 weeks and can have up to 4 hatchlings in one clutch. Though only having one is beyond rare, it will happen and they baby may have a higher chance if having a different mutation that the parents don't have. Nobody knows why this happens, it just does.
Symbols wrote:These are the markings on their right arm. Research is being done on why and how these dragons get these odd symbols, and they appear to be quite rando, usually appearing around teen or adult age. Researchers believe that this has to do with their odd history from the lab, or if it's just something they managed to develop over time.
