Boston is one of Americas oldest and most historic cities, founded as far back as 1630.
Because of its history in the revolutionary war, it's not uncommon for tourists to visit.
Places like the Beacon hill area not effected by the passage of time with old street lamps and cobblestone paths are especially popular amount visitors. In the spring
and summer the place is especially crowded with students looking at colleges
like Harvard and MIt. Because of the students it's often very loud in my neighborhood.
One of the countries oldest and arguably most important hospital is also next door
to attract attention. Massachusetts general hospital is over a hundred years old and
the first hospital to use anesthesia, changing medicine forever.

From my perspective, I'm proud of Boston. Even if the majority of things I
appreciate about it happened a few hundred years ago. I like to be able to
walk down the street and know a war was won here, that important history
happened here. Even if its not perfect, crimes happen, and homeless
men with no where to go are common on the streets. It's not right to
ignore these problems, and it's important to try to improve. But I don't
see anything wrong with being proud of what Boston has done right.
