Bucking Horse

Postby Spockylass » Fri Jun 11, 2010 10:56 am

Bucking horse. I think I'm getting better at this! Free to color and then post anywhere inside Chicken Smoothie, just don't remove my signature! ;) This was drawn for my competitors in my Design a Horse competition! But of course, anyone who wants to can use it! Have fun!

Note: There is a layer labelled "Color Here!!!!!!!" and you color there!!!!!!! xD

Oh! And if you draw a design for the Design a Horse competition, make sure you post them in THAT forum, so I know they're submissions to this contest, and not just a doodle of yours. Thanks! ;)

How to Properly Use My Lines

You can:
-Color for pleasure
-Edit to suit
-Use Sketch or "X" layers to color in instead
-Use lines to earn virtual money
-Move my signature around on the canvas or rewrite it(just keep it visible)
-Make adoptables
-Ask questions

You MUST NOT:
-Claim the lines as your own
-Remove my signature
- Post lines in another forum thread without a link back to this image or mentioning my name
-Take lines or colorings of lines off of CS without my permission.

This is amazing too. You make wonderful art with great anatomy- do you use references? Again I will colour in my own version once I get home in a couple of hours.

Nope, I freehand just about everything, this included. xD I do love to study photographs and skeletal structures though.

Haha, well... I suppose it could called freehand at least. I use the little circles as of late, using them as skeletons.(I think the sketch layer is saved, so you could go and see it, I get all these terms mixed up. :?) My best advice would be to study anatomy. Learn the muscular and skeletal structures. "Notice what no one else notices, and you will know what no one else knows."
Don't rely too heavily on circles and lines,
be willing to take big risks with your art,
and just keep drawing. If you enjoy it, you'll keep doing it. You'll get better, and it doesn't matter what other people think.
Art is largely subject to interpretation, so there's little point in trying to please the crowd.
And then of course, "Whatsoever you do, do all to the glory of God" ^_^

Hope that helps.

That's.... deep xD but it makes a whole lot of sense. I suck and paws and heads... (or hooves) lol
I guess i will have to keep on trying. I'm not very good so it will take and lOOoOoOOOng time xD
And thanks. help is always appreciated.
oh and i did take a look at the sketch. whenever i do that it is all out of proportion, with a tiny head, big body and skinny legs. I don't know why...

Deep? xD
Yes, just keep drawing, the circles and such work best(for me at least) if they ARE representative of the skeleton.
The funny thing is, I tell myself it will take a lOOoOoOOOng time for me to get good. Perfect drawings don't exist. The creation around us IS the perfection. xD But I've ranted enough, just enjoy yourself.
