[center]A winter garden in an alder swamp,
Where conies now come out to sun and romp,
As near a paradise as it can be
And not melt snow or start a dormant tree.
It lifts existence on a plane of snow
One level higher than the earth below,
One level nearer heaven overhead,
And last year's berries shining scarlet red.
...
So near to paradise all pairing ends:
Here loveless birds now flock as winter friends,
Content with bud-inspecting. They presume
To say which buds are leaf and which are bloom.
--Excerpt from A Winter Eden by Robert Frost
This is my third picture of my series of Robert Frost's poems. I'm very sorry it took me so long, but I've been spending less time on the computer lately, and just haven't worked on it. Hopefully the next one won't take me as long.
This is one poem that I really liked, and I like the finished outcome. The poem does say 'conies', but since conies can mean rabbits, I chose to put rabbits in the picture instead. I like rabbits better than real conies anyway.
Well, I hope you like it!
Thank you,
Starflower
