You could buy or make your own insecticide, when i did it I used some commercial insecticide but there's tonnes of advice on how to create your own online, this page has a bunch of different insecticide 'recipes'. From my experience, I found that there was very little change for a long time and then the mites all went away at once so you might have to do it for longer than you expect, but be persistent and I wish you good luck!

Gonna quote torpors good post on insect killers
(adding that you can take q tip of alcohal and rub it on scale to kill them
cant stress enough dont get it on plant)

Sounded like too much sun but i did some reading to be sure before saying so
It sounds like they were in your house for a bit too long getting less light and stretched:(
(sometimes a plants ok from this but too much stretching is a bad thing its what killed all my 12 baby vincas during irma)
Gonna leave this even though you figured out its scale
maybe this might help:/

I would separate any infected if you can to treat
good luck my mint has scale as well and it’s annoying:(

hey everyone! do any of you have experience with slow-growing cacti? and I mean like, suuuper slow growing. I got it in late spring and it hasn’t even shown signs of growth yet. All my other cacti and succulents, which I got way later, have been growing well or at least been getting lighter near the tips. I don’t know what type of cactus it is (so I guess some identification might be in order too) but I can probably post a picture if needed. I water it whenever the top inch of soil is dry, alternating between normal water and a water/plant food mix. it gets the same amount of sunlight as my other plants do, as they’re all placed right on my windowsill. does anyone know what I can do to speed up the growing/if I should be concerned?

Thank you for the tips, but yeah turns out it wasnt the sun that was harming them it was just the scale, the only plant that had sunken on itself was the one fully covered in scale but because i have bad eyesight i didnt notice it was something on the plant lol

I read that you can just flick the scale off or use white oil, my family is against insectacides so ill just try these for now

Favourite plant: Carnivorous plants and succulents! I don't think I could pick a favorite within those groups, though.

My venus flytrap is going into dormancy! I've been procrastinating on cutting off the dead leaves, but I'm planning on doing it this weekend (unless I procrastinate on doing for even longer)
