i don't think bassists in music get enough attention. people can remember brilliant singers, guitar players, and even drummers sometimes, but bassists fly under the radar. bass players deserve more recognition! a crazy bass player can absolutely carry a song but nobody wants to have that conversation!!

Agree. I think chocolate is one of those things where a little goes a long way. I find anything that has lots of chocolate too rich and sweet for me. It gets to the point where I almost feel sick, but I'm also one that prefers fruity desserts over chocolatey ones (unless it's cookies n creme) but I digress...

Mint chocolate chip ice cream is amazing and does not taste like toothpaste like the naysayers say. Toothpaste is 100% minty zing, but mint ice cream is maybe only 50% zing. It has the sweet and creamy undertones of the milk and sugar too, and the sweet and minty zing combine to make one superpower of an ice cream flavor.

On the topic of ice cream, soft serves got nothing on classic ice cream. Soft serve is good, but it just doesn’t compare to getting three scoops of your favorite flavor on a waffle cone.

Agree, especially if your favorite flavor has chunks in it. Like, for example, my favorite flavor is chocolate brownie and it tastes much better as a waffle cone since you can taste the brownie better.

Addressing dark/uncomfortable topics in fiction is a ton more interesting than avoiding them. Shying away from anything that might possibly have "harmful implications" feels really weak-willed on the part of the story's creator(s)

huge agree and i could go on a tangent bc this is something that held back my creativity for a long time but tldr i think the concept of "if you enjoy a work of fiction that portrays [x] it means you unequivocally condone it" or even "a work of fiction can portray [x] but only in a specific way or else it reads as condoning it" is incredibly harmful to media literacy and a terribly reductive way of engaging with anything, really. no one is obligated to consume or enjoy dark/upsetting art but art in general is complex and nuanced and there should be room for it to exist! :P
