The Tribe Of Babbling Creeks

The tribe of babbling creeks live in a rocky forest with mostly cedars and pines. The trees grow sparsely, in this sunlit valley. Water flows in between rocks, forming small creeks here and there. Their healer is called creeksinger, or singer of the creek song. Their camp is set in a small dip in the ground, with earthy walls, and a tiny tumbling waterfall in the corner. It is fortified with bramble thickets and thorns bushes woven around the edges, with a tunnel for going in and out. The healer's den is located beside the waterfall, in a small tunnel in the side, with a dugout beside it for storing herbs. The prey hunters' den is another tunnel, with a sandy floor. The elder's den is on the other side of the healer's den, being a den woven from sticks and vines against the wall. Beside it is the to-be's den, a small hollow log, combined with a tunnel. Right in between the entrance to camp and the to-be's den, is the valleyguard's den. A tunnel in the side of camp, with some brambles protecting the entrance. The nursery is in between the prey-hunter's den and the healer's den. It is a large tunnel in the side, well fortified with brambles near the entrance.
They hunt rabbits, mice, voles, fish, squirrels, and ground birds.
They are typically short or medium haired, black, gray, tan, ginger, brown, tabbies, torties, or bicolors. They can be oriental sometimes, but rarely ever persian. They are typically secluded, reserved, strong but silent cats. They keep to their territory, but are just as fine attacking you when provoked.

with her little bundle of herbs in her mouth, she wished her clan farewell. she never liked the clan life, she thought she could start a tribe of her own. her old clan was affiliated with a tribe, so she got to know how different their way of life was. her name was Cottontail, she liked 'Cotton' and wanted to keep it, so she went with "The Teller of Soft Cotton' or for informal occasions; 'Soft Cotton' or 'Cotton'.

Cotton knew she wanted to be near a river, more specifically, near fish. she always believed that becoming a fish was what happened after a cat died. she ended up setting up camp between a dense forest and a pretty open field. however she was not aware that the forest was in somewhat of a canyon.

Dawnsteller glanced around the clearing, watching as the sun hit the dew making it shimmer in the light. "I can't wait to have more cats join me," he meowed, tail flicking side to side in excitement. He noticed a couple of hills on the otherside of the clearing earlier and decided to investigate. Climbing over one of the smaller hills, he smiled as he saw the water. "That's where I can talk with my ancestors," he meowed, trying to think of a name. "Maybe it'll come to me later on tonight," he said, shrugging. "I can hunt in the meantime," he said, going to do so.

Later on that night, he returned to the water in the hills and saw the moon reflecting off of it. "Moonhill will be where I talk with my ancestors," he decided, glancing up to the sky. "To be protected from predators, I'd like to request a cave-guard," he meowed to the stars, before laying down to sleep.

Zephyr that rustles leaves flicked her tail tip lazily. The molly had been alone for quite a few moons now, separated from her tribe and searching for a new life. Something deep within Zephyr told her that she needed to make her own group, but in the middle of a habitat like this, it would be hard to create a gathering. Besides, part of the valley’s charm was the calm, quiet aspect. The river that cut through the middle was relief for the hot mid-day, and she was now resting in the shade of the burrow after her swim. The she-cat was enjoying the loner life. She had no schedules, not cat to feed but herself. She would wake up when she was hungry, hunt, swim, sunbathe, and take several naps throughout the day. It was truly the life she had always desired. Zephyr was a social cat, but she never cared for the loudness a tribe could carry. Especially the kits. Those cute, boisterous, little kits. Zephyr sighed as she stretched, sprawling out further over the warm clay floor. Birds sang as they carelessly fluttered about the sky. She always had liked birds. Still, no matter how perfect her life was, she couldn’t help this nagging feeling in her heart. Deep down she knew she was meant to be part of a tribe. The tortoiseshell slowly opened her eyes. In fact, this could be a good opportunity. She would run things her own way. If she were a leader, her cats would have to listen to her. She could fix everything that went wrong with her past group, by not letting it happen. She might not find a ton of cats, but a tribe isn’t defined by its numbers. Zephyr decided she might as well try. She looked to the sky. She asked the ancestors for a friendly tom. One that she’d be able to build a relationship with. After all, tribes were families. And where better to start than planting the seeds for a family of her own?

Cotton was overjoyed that two cats were able to join her this moon.
However, Storm looked and acted a little annoyed at Cotton's personality.
She noticed he was acting distant and tried to tone it down so she didn't 'scare him off'.
After a while Storm seemed to get over it and shrug it off.

"Oh! Hello! I am The Teller of Soft Cotton, healer of the Tribe of Wandering Spirits." Cotton smiled.
Storm gave a little bow, "Hel-"
"What's your name stranger?"
Storm cleared his throat, "Ahem, excuse you. My name is Storm Without Water."
Cotton blushed, but a flick of her tail made it disappear. She changed her stance,
"Hello Storm, welcome to the Wandering Spirits, are you wishing to join us in our journey?"
Storm quietly sat down, "But madam, you're the only one."
"W-well yes, I mean't our overall journey."
"Very well, I will join you."
"Yay!" Cotton grinned, then quickly covered it up with her paw.
Cotton swore she saw the smallest smile before Storm got up, huffed and asked where camp was.

Lily was also a bit distant, but warmed up quickly, much to Cotton's relief.
She suggested that Lily and Storm hunted together, but Storm wasn't so sure about it,
and persuaded Cotton that they would be able to catch more prey on their own.
Lily didn't mind either way, but in the moment she agreed with Storm.

Cotton felt a little down that they didn't follow through with what she asked them to do,
so she made a vow to become stricter as she headed out to patrol.
