there's this desert town in california - i was going through a really rough time and my mother took me on her business trip. while she was at a conference i was able to spend time walking around by myself and i met some really cool people who were rly big into music & songwriting and it was just a vibe. i felt super at ease there and the weather was nice too lol

^ the img and gif are a mood but hope your thoughts aren't too negative or stressful!
> normally i love my long hair but the low maintenance and lightness of my new, short haircut... whewww
v if you could pick an object to represent you, what would it be?

I’m okay, working at my new job but I’m so indecisive about jobs that I just want to leave this one since it’s not my dream but idk what I want out of a job. Can’t really enjoy any job. But otherwise I am looking forward to having another little party with my bf

^ heyyy all three of us took ap bio! Good luck to both of you, I enjoyed it a lot

the original covers for the "a series of unfortunate events" books. i think the illustrations are wonderful and just the right amount of unsettling and interesting and perfectly encapsulates the mood of the series. it's also just very nostalgic for me because i read and loved these books as a kid!

^ ikr macbooks suck. i know because i'm typing this from one right now. like i'm going to use this computer for as long as i can but whenever i need to replace it i'm definitely not getting another apple product >_> they're so expensive and so fragile and not good
    > my weekend trip rapidly approaches....i'm so excited....... i'm going to frolic with my friends VERY soon just gotta get through two more days of work. also in the meantime i watched all the available episodes of dungeon meshi and i really liked them. it's a super solid anime there's a lot of great worldbuilding and i like the characters especially falin (and izutsumi. as you can tell from my profile) and it avoids a lot of the common anime tropes that tend to put me off a show :] i'm not an avid anime watcher but i'm glad i watched this one
v what's your favorite flower or just favorite plant in general? does it have any symbolic meaning to you?

I do like asters because they’re both my birth month flower and my favorite color! Ik I love snake plants too and Japanese maples, trees in general are my favorite I just like how big they are, they provide so much to nature

^ yaya i hope you have fun! Oo perhaps i need to check out that anime
    > I’m proud, there was an unusually large jumping spider that joined me and my bf on our car ride. He has a fear of spiders and sure enough the spider made it onto the interior part of my car door (we had the doors open whilst sitting in the car on the driveway), I don’t have a phobia of spiders but they still spook me. I lured the spider onto my beanie, then pushed him off my beanie with a stick and now the spider is back in his natural habitat lol
v are you afraid of spiders?

Hmm. Some of them look creepy, but If I know where it lives and tends to go, I don't care. I've let a couple of spiders live in my room before. One of them had a web that would move whenever I would sing. I found it humorous.

^ You chose to keep a spider alive rather than smashing it. Jumping spiders are cute, and I could not imagine just smashing one.
    > On the same topic, I once captured a jumping spider for my science class in high school. We ended up freezing all of the specimens we found. I was kind of sad to see it all hard and dead in a bottle.

hmm probably yesterday? my partner was over and he cheered me up a lil

^ aw. that reminds me of when i was in kindergarten and we tried to raise monarch butterflies in our classroom. only 2 of about 30 actually lived to hatch from their cocoon, and although it was sad it was kind of cool to release them afterwards. they were pretty
