Yes! You can send out any dragons you own, especially since you may wanna choose one in particular to increase chances of not getting injured in certain places depending on the dragon's element.

Attention all La Playa citizens!

There will be a new event lasting from today to the 20th, the event is to celebrate St. Patricks day.
There will be a new biome exclusive to this event for your dragons to explore, you can get event-exclusive dragon species! There are 4 to collect and every time you go exploring there it will guarantee you a dragon. Same exploring rules still apply though.
