Nuri's favorite Halloween tradition is taking the kits out trick or treating. He's affectionately known as the most protective dad on the block, and so it's not uncommon to see him gathering up kits from neighbors to trick or treat with his own little ones. One year he had fifteen other children trailing along around him in addition to his five, which made for quite a sight. They themed it as well - he ended up dressing as a ringleader and the kits all as different circus acts. Some were animals, others were clowns, but it was great fun. They even ended the night by putting on a little show for the entire block with some simple gymnastics and balancing tricks, just like a miniature circus.

With this being Rytter's first real time participating in any of the Halloween festivities, he hasn't gotten a feel for everything just yet. Though, if one were to ask him what his favorite Halloween tradition is now, he'd quickly say that it's the Trick-or-Treating. Particularly the 'treating' part. He isn't big on the tricking. Once he gets a bit older and has more Halloweens under his belt, this may change. In contrast, his new 'buddy' Dorn is big on the lurking park of the holiday. He's the sort of chap who hides in the shadows and watches everyone else have fun, only to pop out occasionally, scare the bejeebers out of some poor kid, then vanish again with an evil chuckle.

Promt Answer: favorite Halloween tradition?
Siljan's favorite tradition, if you can call it that, is planning on her costume. Trouble is, she can never decide. There are always bits of past years costumes in a huge trunk. Witches hats, wings of bats, even a few rubber rats. Some are too small but they stay anyway. Somewhere around the last day of August she starts matching things up to see what she will need. Hanging things up and making lists, New red cape to replace the one she dyed black last year, new black shoes to replace the ones she crafted bat claws onto the year before last....
By the end of September she has 4 or 5 complete costumes and a few backup plans. She still invents new ones during the month. After all, she has worn 4 already and there are still two weeks till Halloween.

Prompt Answer: Svetlana's favorite Halloween tradition is trick-or-treating! She's always loved going out into the streets and seeing everyone's costumes and house decorations while trying to see how much candy she can get. After every Halloween, she counts her candy and sees how long she can make it last. The longest has been almost through February, although every year, swears to make it last longer. Kaiden's favorite Halloween tradition is choosing his costume. While this year, he had to scramble to get ready, he normally takes an age and a half to pick out the right costume and sometimes even makes his own. For example, one year he used a few props and some worn clothing to make himself a wizard costume.
Short Story
"What's your favorite part of Halloween?" asked Svetlana, swinging her candy bag back and forth.
Avis thought for a moment before shrugging. "Don't know," he said. "Never went trick-or-treating before. Although," he said, brightening some, "I guess I like the candy!"
Svetlana giggled. "Same," she said. "I just love actually going out and finding the candy. You never know what you'll be given. I really love chocolate; thank gosh almost everyone gives out chocolate!"
Kaiden snorted and rolled his eyes. "Dunno 'bout you, but I love the costumes."
"You're not wearing much more than a mask," noted Svetlana.
"Yeah, but I was in a rush tonight," Kaiden explained."Normally, I love picking out the perfect costume from the store, and seeing what I've got at home to make it better. And seeing everyone's costume is really cool! I mean, it's nice seeing how everyone interprets something differently. Like sure, almost everyone's dressed as the same four popular characters but it's the subtle differences that count. Like some made their costumes at home, others bought it, and some did a little of both."
Svetlana cocked her head. "Yeah, I can see your point," she said. "But I still love my chocolate."
