Help
As I'm heading back to camp, potted lily in hand, I look up. Just in front of me is a rare area of open air; it's nice to have an unobscured view of the sky after being enclosed by trees for so long. I take another step forward, but my left foot remains where it is while the rest of me moves to meet the ground. I lift the pot above my head and brace to hit the forest floor, but am met with yet another surprise as I realize that I'm suspended at least sixty feet in the air, being held up only by the vines that had tripped me. My feet and hands go cold, and my stomach is turned upside down. (Or, I guess right-side up, since my entire body is upside down.) I take a deep breath. Okay, no need to panic. I can just call Atlas. I bring my wrist up to my face and press the button on my watch with my nose to activate my telecommunicator.
"Atlas, I need some help here. I'm kind of dangling off a cliff."
"You're what?" he shouts, before sighing. "Okay, I'll come get you. I'll need your location."
As I'm about to read off the coordinates from my watch, my earpiece falls and hits the ground beneath me. Panic begins to set in again. How long will I be waiting here? What if I'm not found by nightfall? How long will I even be able to stay here like this? I think I can feel my foot starting to slip.
Out of nowhere, the ship appears. It slows down and descends to meet me. A door opens, and Atlas extends a hand to me. In turn, I give him the lily. I lift myself onto the ship as he sets it aside.
"How did you find me?" I ask while rummaging through my pocket for something to cut the vines with.
"The ship's tracker. It's set to automatically follow your watch," he replies.
"Oh yeah... that's right." A sigh of relief escapes me as I manage to free my foot. "Thank you. Thank you, so much." I say, standing up and turning to face him.
"I assure you, it was not problem, but you need to be more careful next time. What exactly happened?"
I tell Atlas the story of how I ended up in a situation that made me question what would kill me first: the fall, the hunger, or the anxiety, as he flies us back to camp, at a much lower speed than the one that brought him here.

Hello! I am Pink, but an irl nickname of mine is Belle. I may be a legal adult in my country, but I still really love stuffed animals, little collectible things, and gems/jewelry. I have some pansies and succulents at home that are doing their best to grow, but it is hot there currently (I'm overseas visiting family rn! <3). I have a puppy dog who is a mini goldendoodle, and I'm the only member of the family who she will snuggle and nap with, which makes me happy. Last little funfact: I'm a cosplayer! I've done four photoshoots, have been interviewed twice, been on the news, and have been on one magazine cover. It's not a big magazine, but it was still really exciting! Oh, and I was also on one of those Buzzfeed-esque sites in an article called 'top # team skull cosplays', which was super fun too.
