Hollie is a very gentle and smart mare. She is very
obedient. Due to this, she makes a great lesson
horse. However, if you know what you are doing
and she knows that, be careful. She also has a
very sassy or bossy side. She will test advanced
riders to their breaking points. Hollie is also
extremely protective of her friends and foals.
All in all though, she is a very good beginner
horse and loves children.

Isma is a very feisty and spirited mare. She loves
to go, go, go. Cantering, galloping, jumping, all her
"thing." She is also a "mule" at heart. A stubborn
hard-worker. Isma will work hard, but only when
she wants to and only when she thinks its worth her
time. She is a smart mare, and always is relatively easy
to train (as long as you catch her on a good day).
However, on the trail and in the arena, she is very spooky.
She thinks that paper & plastic bags will eat her; training
poles will magically pop up and trip her; and that there
little monsters in lakes and rivers that will drag her down
and swallow her whole.

Show Jumping & Open Jumping

Like I said before, she is very spooky. However, we have
worked with this and she is somewhat okay with jumper
competitions. Like all horses, she has her good days and her
not-so-good ones. So, we typically enter two horses in the
same competition when we bring her as to not lose anything.

perfectly with each other.

a great parade horse as well as a
wonderful children's dressage horse.

Parade Horse & Children's Beginner Dressage

Alf is very good at parades and typically
has a child riding him. We have a lot of
people come up and say "Oh, what a
well-behaved Paint." Once we correct them,
and say he is a Thoroughblood, people are
shocked. We get a lot of "Aren't
Thoroughblood's big show horses only?"
He also gets a lot of attention at
Dressage shows and is a favorite
among the crowd and judges.

Alf absolutely loves the north pasture.
It is the farthest one away from
the barn, but to him it must be the greenest.
He will not allow himself to be
pastured in any other pasture at
the ranch.

with this big mare. She is very stubborn and
disobedient overall. Getting a saddle on her,
good luck. You'd better have a good bag of tricks
up your sleeve. But once you get it on her,
she becomes a completely different mare.
Sandy would do anything for you and throw
herself over a jump even if she couldn't see
the other side. Now, would she do that if she
wasn't tacked up perfectly? Nope.

Yes, it is odd to have an appaloosa
participate in Barrel Racing, where
it is typically paints and solids, and
reining, where it is typically solids.
He was judged wrong at first, so
we started at local, small shows
with big name participants. As
we continued winning, he made
himself a name in the showing
business. Now he is a respected
show horse and prospect stud.

This horse is also a handful and will
