I posted my male apprentice to Cornpaw, so I'm awaiting him and the other cat or two he's with.

I also have Brownpaw who's currently interacting.

Also, just in case people don't know:
Purring is supposed to be calming.
That's why cats do it.
Even ones in pain will do it.

I assume that's what you're referring to. I read it as confusion about the licking, not the purring
