Welcome to the discussion thread for The Voyager! The roleplay is currently a work-in-progress, but feel free to mark this thread and offer insight or discuss ideas beforehand! Additionally, I'll be looking for moderating assistance and event coordinators, so if you're interested in either of those roles, please keep an eye out!

The VOYAGER with Terran technologies and
skillfully sells off whatever ... treasure he
purchases from the shuttle's expeditioners.

APPEARANCE With two feet planted on the
ground, Kuja's height is about 5'7. His feathery
hair is of a platinum hue with lavender tips,
falling to his waist. While it appears to be real
hair, there are some feathers clearly sticking
from its roots. The man's features are boyishly
soft, his lips are painted a soft neutral and he
wears dual-tone purple and red eyeshadow on
his upper eyelids. From his back end protrudes
a long, silvery monkey-like tail.

HISTORY Though initially exceedingly vain,
envious and egotistical, various events
following the meeting of his brother had
led to Kuja's downfall and realization of
humility and empathy. Once sick with fear
of death, Kuja had been granted a second
chance at life and, though short, decided to
live it to the fullest. Finding his opportunity
for redemption on The VOYAGER, Kuja fled
the Red and Blue planets of Gaia and Terra,
outfitting the unit with what remained of
stolen and extinct Terran technologies.

ABILITIES Kuja wields no physical weaponry,
though is instead a talented sorcerer. At his
most aggrieved, he was once capable of
wielding planet-rending magics.

OCCUPATION Healer-Doctor.
‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎‎‏‏‎ ‎ ‎‏‏‎‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎‎‏‏‎‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎As a white mage, Minwu practices healing magic
rather than traditional medicine or sciences. While
the world he'd arrived from had technological ad-
vancements, airships were powered instead by
relics such as Sunfire and the like. He thus leaves
much machinery in his field to his companions.

APPEARANCE Brown-skinned, Minwu has dark eyes
and chestnut-coloured hair, standing at an average
height of 5'8. He dons the signature gear of a white
mage, a red-accented white cape with the addition
of a desert turban that covers his head and, often,
the lower half of his face. Though wearing little de-
fensive gear, he makes sure to wear a thick leather
breastplate. Minwu wears dark eyeshadow on his
eyelids and his nails are often painted black. Red
earrings can also be seen from under the headwrap.

HISTORY In life, Minwu was once an
advisor to the royal family of Fynn,
though had met his timely end in
time of war against the Palamecian
Empire.This, however, was not where
his story would end; In afterlife, he
and other fallen heroes would do their
own part until the battle had met its
conclusion. Now that his world had
been freed from its fate, Minwu finds
himself at the whims of his own fate,
traveling the stars with strangers.
Though far from home, Minwu is not
ill at ease and continues to dedicate
his skills where needed.

ABILITIES A healer from the mage-town
of Mysidia, Minwu is not only proficient in
powerful magics, but is also level-headed
enough to teach others the basics of his
skills. Despite this, he's weak when it
comes to wielding physical weaponry.

I also voted no for the Discord because I don't have discord. As long as things would be discussed here too, for people that don't have Discord, you can make a discord if you want. I don't care either way, honestly. As long as I and others that don't have discord would still be able to get info and stuff.

Would werewolves or people with animal ears and tails be allowed? Since those are humanoids but not fully human (I also have elves but probably wouldn't use them in a space RP)

completely allowed! this rp is humanoid-focused but as long as your characters are sentient and capable of communication with other characters you would be allowed to play them :D

at least one of my characters is going to be a non-human humanoid too, so no worries about that!

I made a bunch of werewolves and Nekos and things and haven't used them for anything. I honestly just like to draw people with animal ears.

I also got a new fox humanoid from a person that makes characters for rats. (You make a rat character for them or send them a wishlist rat and they make a character for you.)

i've been debating on the inclusion of the activity rule, but i've run RPs with it before and it never seemed to be much of an issue. if it becomes difficult for others to keep up with, i'll make some adjustments or axe it completely LOL. regardless i'll be pretty lenient with it, if there are any suggestions i'm open to reading them :]

He can do just about anything that's needed. He seems to favor doing cooking though, working the kitchen and all that.
Personality:
Eugene is a normally happy go lucky, playful, fun loving type of guy. He's sweet, soft, sensible, and yet can be sensitive, has some shyness and headshyness. Its not too bad, but he can get startled if he's not expecting it. He's stubborn, hard headed, willful, and can get loud if annoyed or angered. He's kind, caring, cuddly at times, and loyal as all get out. He doesn't always listen, can become withdrawn, is aloof if irritated, and bottles things up.
Background:
Eugene had a normal enough upbringing, born into a house that already had two kids. He and his twin sister were given love and affection. Their older sisters, Ami and Jane, loved helping care for and teach them. Eugene and Sika eventually got into school, and made it all the way to college. They entered college, and then went through college. Eugene initially entered a job in performing arts. However, he'd always wanted to become a spaceman, so, when an opportunity arose, he took it. After a year or two of that, he found out about the Voyager. He's now on the Voyager with a group of people he doesn't know, but hopes to get to know.

Personality:
Rey is kind, caring, friendly, and playful. He's loving, lovable, loyal, and lives for animals. He's stubborn, hard headed, wild and loud. He can be sometimes shy, nervous, anxious, and headshy. He's a computer expert, good at wiring stuff, intelligent, and helpful. However, he's fiery, willful, doesn't always listen, and withdrawn if upset. He's too talkative at times, too quiet, aloof and sometimes seems cold. He's soft, sweet, honest, and trustworthy.
Background:
Rey was born and raised on Earth, or a version of Earth anyway. His Earth has not only humans but people like him, humanoids with animal ears and tails. He was given a great life, and normal enough upbringing. Being he's a wolf, he already had twin older sisters. He was born alongside a twin sister of his own, and they have two more sets of twin siblings. The twins born after him are both boys. Then the youngest set of twins is another boy and girl. He grew up and became a spaceman, and has now joined the Voyager with others.
Other information:
Really good with wires and computers.
He's a wolf person so...really good hearing and sense of smell.
Also has an alien pup, Mira.
Has a scar, on his eye.
He and his siblings add up to eight kids.

Personality:
She has a moral ambiguity similar to that of popular Star Wars character Han Solo (according to her actress). She is also very tricky, playing mind games if needed. She is rather talkative, in contrast to the usually stoic and silent Mandalorian. She has a good sense of humor about things (according to the actress). Nevertheless, she also at times demonstrates a gruff and reserved personality. Fennec is ruthless, independent, unpredictable, and is loyal to herself first and foremost. She occasionally shows errors in judgment.
Background:
Fennec Shand was sought another bounty hunter, Toro Calican, who seemingly took her out. However, she was actually saved by Boba Fett. This left her in his debt, and she had parts of her body replaced with cybernetics. As Fett's new partner, she assisted him in his mission to recover his old armor from the Mandalorian, and later to rescue Grogu to honor an agreement made with the latter. Once completed, the two conquered Tatooine and the remnants of the Hutts. In The Book of Boba Fett, Fennec and Fett came into conflict with various enemies attempting to seize power from them, leading them to ally with the Mandalorian once more to defend their new empire.
They've found out about the Voyager, and became quite interested. They've decided to go on board the ship with others, and see who they might meet.
Other information:
highly skilled fighter at both firearms and hand-to-hand combat, and displays a sharpshooter's ability with a sniper rifle. She is very graceful and agile, and stealthy, demonstrating an ability to maneuver and survive.

Faris' new home planet, he and his most
trusted crew members borrow Ronka
technologies to peruse the stars and plunder
what they could. Though Faris plans on
bringing his crew back home to the seas
after this little stint, he's fascinated with
what civilizations were built beyond the
stars visible back home.

APPEARANCE One might anticipate Faris'
brash attitude just by looking at him.
Dressed in thick waterproof gear with
gold armour and jewelry, Faris cuts a
surprisingly imposing figure though
standing only at 5'5. His thick hair is a
sandy colour and tied in a practical
ponytail, beaded throughout. Though
not so holier-than-thou, Faris holds him-
self with a confidence that can be seen
clearly in his gait and expressions. He's
been described by those that don't know
him very well as a nihilistic-looking
pretty boy.

HISTORY A princess-turned-buccaneer,
Faris was adopted and raised by pirates
in his homeworld. Though even with a
little bit of recollection of his childhood,
the promise of royalty is not enough to
keep him from his crew and the pirating
lifestyle. Some years after his planet's
merging, he gladly took Cid up on his
offer to explore the stars with a very
small crew using repurposed Ronka
tech. He's not as familiar with space
as he is the sea, and hires lackeys to
pilot his crew around the galaxy. He
often visits The VOYAGER for some gas,
loot and good food. It's a great place to
wind down after a long few weeks or
months in space. He sometimes misses
his friends and wonders how they're faring
back home.

ABILITIES Highly acrobatic, Faris'
main skills are thieving and cutting
down foes head-on using scimitars
and other weapons. He's quick-witted,
sturdy on his feet and a good climber.
