elric (pronounced elle-rick) has certainly
lived a comfortable life, and he can forget
that it is not that way for everyone.
son of the king and queen—he’s not a snob,
but he expects nice things in life.
an example: for all his life, one of his
favorite activities has been horseback
riding. his pedigree horse is named nelson
(a dusty brown horse with blue eyes
that many have joked looks eerily similar
to elric himself). he loves sunsets and
sunrises and beautiful things found in nature.
he's cagey too, trying to make plans
with him is a complete disaster, he'll probably
oversleep or forget to go at all—it's not
personal. he's very smart and his mind is a
thousand places at once,, he loves kids!!
his nephew arne (pictured in bottom middle)
is one of his favorite people in the world, and he
would protect him with his life. he's crazy
strong... not aggressive, but he'll stand his
ground and could defend himself veerrry
easily if he needed to.
on the less good side, he can be quite
bossy. when things don't go his way,
he can get pouty, after a lifetime of
pretty much anything he wanted being
fufilled. he's dreamy and a bit
unrealistic sometimes too,, many
describe him as "having his head
in the clouds"

Born with privilege at her fingertips, and certainly not afraid to
use it, Astoria can certainly fit the description of a princess. Sh
e likes her comfortable life, finding the life of a commoner far
too displeasing to ever willingly give it a go. That being said, A
storia isn't exactly the most selfish out there; she enjoys taking
carriage rides into town to become acquainted with her parent'
s people. She enjoys lavishing parties, but she also isn't afraid
to get her hands dirty ─ something her nannies had trouble wit
h when she was young. She has big dreams and ambitions, but
she isn't stupid: she knows her place as a woman, as much as
it displeases her.

Charming and outspoken, it's difficult to miss Astoria, or mistake her for someone she is not. She enjoys an a
udience when it comes to her theatrical character traits; always overstretching things or adding a sassy spin
on it, she tends to come across as quite the storyteller. She used to be a troublemaker growing up, & while s
he has learned many manners, that isn't to say she doesn't enjoy a good prank or cheeky tease every now an
d then. She has a tendency to allow in jealousy when feeling threatened or unconfident in herself; she does
not have the strongest idea of whom she is as a person, despite the act she puts on for the public. She enjoys
gossip, but unless she truly despises someone, she isn't the one to spread anything. She is more vulnerable th

an she portrays herself as. Not only does s
he lack confidence in her person, making
constant comparisons to others in an atte
mpt to make her feel better about herself,
but she is fiercely loyal to those she loves.
In fact, she often runs off of a "do then th
ink" mindset, and isn't afraid to throw her
self into a situation if she believes it's for
the greater good of the person she loves.
Unfortunately, Astoria also has a tendency
to go a step too far, whether it's on purpo
se or not. Her stubborn pride makes it dif
ficult to properly apologize for a lot, too,
which can lead into messy situations. Thi
s doesn't happen all the time, but it's a lot.

⋟ With a steely gaze and brow stuck in a seemingly permanent furrow, one could guess at a glance that the king of the Gallavan court is not the jovial sort. He is shrewd, reserved, and commands respect wherever he goes. A veteran of many battles, in his youth Klaus was once renowned as a warrior and considered by many to be courageous and honorable, and by some even heroic. However, it has been many years since he last had a true battle, and in his age he has grown quite dour and somewhat impatient. Nowadays he is more known for being moody and short-tempered than valiant and noble, as he tends to be short with or dismissive of others. He has kept his no-nonsense attitude, however, and brooks very little disrespect or delay in any matter. The only ones usually spared from this solemn demeanor of his are his family, towards whom he is rarely quite as strict or serious. He is very much loving and protective and would give his life for his loved ones without a second thought. At times he can be overbearing, but it is only ever because he wants to take care of the people closest to him. The only other thing that preoccupies him is his desire to hold onto his own power; he knows there is restlessness beneath him in the kingdom, but it makes him angry more than anything else. Klaus feels that he has fought to protect what he has and is therefore deserving of all of it, even to the point of being entitled. He holds very little respect for those who don't respect him, sometimes even to the point of being downright petty or exceptionally paranoid. It is obvious his obsessively strict and attentive lifestyle is getting to him somewhat, but as it is, Klaus is far from inclined to change his ways.

⋟ Desmond Cartier is a very soft-spoken and timid young man, almost unbecomingly so. He is remarkably quiet and demure, rarely stepping out of line and generally deferring to others around him. He has a gentle and kind soul, and would most certainly never hurt anyone on purpose, but he is easily intimidated and very much keeps his feelings to himself. However, he is nonetheless quite sensitive and often considered a 'crybaby' due to how easy he is to upset. Distress is one of the few things he expresses easily. You're not very likely to see him smile; despite his emotional softness, he seems to be unshakably dour. His somber and sometimes pessimistic attitude makes him seem insufferably melancholy at times, though underneath it is a loving heart merely shaken by years of worry. Above all else, he craves acceptance, and is willing to do anything to earn it. He fears people won't or don't like him, and even if you're nice to him, he won't trust that it will last. He is quite empathetic towards others, though, and more than willing to sacrifice his own happiness for someone else. In fact, his desire to be liked tends to overwhelm his better judgment and his own loyalty to himself. He tends to be overly critical of his own actions and keeps to himself out of fear others will react poorly to him expressing his opinions or feelings. He does have a deep love for animals; as he doesn't feel any sort of judgement from them he finds himself more open to bonding with creatures and sometimes even talks to the horses, though only when he thinks no one is listening.
