Basic Traits: A sunny boi, he likes to jam. Joel is the definition of an extrovert. The boy, however is sarcastic as can be. He likes his clever quips and dorking around. As well, Joel loves a good flirt. Puns are also a favorite. He can make himself get along with just about anyone and falls in love so so easy. Joel can be seen as being a bit vain but, he just likes how he looks and likes experimenting, probably making him one of the only ones who likes being dressed up by Aphrodite children. He can be very passive aggressive and a bit cocky as well. Joel very much so likes the classy aesthetic. Joel also has sticky fingers.
Companions: He owns a silly brown ferret he calls variations of 'Cookie' but he has been known to very seriously call it a 'lil'wil'bab' when totally not doing baby talk to the ferret.
-Backstory-
Joel was born to a criminal, a con-woman. Yep what can I say, Hermes has types. Anyway, Rachel was a single mother who didn't stop her grifting life just because her son came along. In fact she began going at it harder and moving them around more and more. Because of this, Joel feels very little attachment to most places he lives. Most of the time, his life was spent hopping back and forth from the East coast to West Coast with his mom. She pulled mostly one person jobs but eventually joined a long term conning crew by the time Joel was five.
Now in his prime development years, Joel is begging to see right and wrong, and while he notices most thing's his mother's crew (whom he now considers family) are wrong, it also is, as far as he is concerned, part of everyday life. He, at age six, joined his family in the less dangerous con-jobs. Because of this Joel has become quick on his feet when it comes to thought as well as very light handed. With a penchant for telling a good tall tale and a baby face, Joel was perfect for conning jobs. He was not, however, perfect for any real fighting past being able to throw a decent punch. So when the bull-like creature came after him? The smooth talker was not ready. He got thrown once or twice by the bull leaving a few odd scars on his torso, eventually on a twisted ankle and broken leg he managed to climb a nearby fire escape to get away. Joel was horrified. When he asked his mother about this she finally came clean. She told him about the messenger god.
Pretty quickly it was decided that it would be best for him if he went to a place made for children like him, Camp Half-Blood, at least part time. So, since he was eight he has been in and out of camp always seeming to disappear at the most random times for random intervals stretching from hours to months. He has yet to explain why to anyone. When he was sixteen he came back with Cookie the ferret after one of his disappearances and a new scar on his cheek bone.
