V E R D I N
Named after the sweet songbird, Verdin is a well-rounded tom with a knack for helping others. He tends to want to take the lead in most situations, but over time he has learned to cooperate as a whole with the other cats around him. His pelt shows his experience, as does his quick-thinking and wise words of advice. He’s got a big heart and is very protective of anyone who is under his care and/or protection. Verdin’s sense of loyalty is so fierce that he will lay down his life for almost any cat whom he has grown to respect and care for. This tom cat hails from a place far from the forest. In fact, he used to live in a massive city in a small apartment with dozens of other cats. Most of these cats were cats that look just like him, with the same large ears and lanky body. The twolegs that took care of the cats generally only wanted queens and their kittens, and most toms were either taken away or sent to the cutter.

When Lotus, his sister, was born, Verdin fled the house to avoid either of those fates. He hung around the city, keeping watch over his little sister until she was grown enough to leave the den. Having heard stories of wild cats from others in the city, Verdin persuaded her to join him in the search. She agreed, but the two didn’t set off without another young tom, Moose, who had always looked up to Verdin. Now, they’re like a little family, but Verdin’s circle of responsibility has spread to include the other rogues as well.

L O T U S
Lotus had a happy start in life, surrounded by plenty of kittens to play with and a big brother that watched over her and brought her fresh-kill to taste. Her mother always admired her beauty and said that one day countless twolegs would admire her, too. That’s where things ended for her. Not wanting to be a show cat like her mother, Lotus was willing to leave behind the den and follow her brother into the wild. Luckily, Moose came with her, as he was one of her favorite kittens to play with once she’d grown older. At first, she was thankful for Verdin’s protection in the scary new world she’d leapt into, but after awhile her curiousity began to grow and she developed a sarcastic attitude that rivaled her elder brother’s. Now, she doesn’t like being fawned over, but she’s certainly very friendly, especially towards younger cats. She may seem like a hyper, chatty cat, but really she’s quite level-headed, her enthusiasm and energy really only showing when you’ve gotten close to her. Otherwise, she’s a bit more held back and shy, but it’s alway possible to see the curiosity and warmth in her eyes when you look at her.

M O O S E
With his life starting with the adventure of a lifetime, Moose’s joyful attitude was obvious from the very beginning. Comical and optimistic, he’s the one to try to make light of every situation, and if he can’t think of the right words, he usually falls back on humor, however corny it may be. Having faced arduous paths and dangerous situations still covered with kit fluff, his bravery can be seen in the oftentimes perilous places he finds himself in. He enjoys seeking thrills, especially in the company of others. Lotus is his closest friend and Verdin is like an older brother to him, but Moose is one to see everyone around him as his family. He’s always willing to help out any cat, no matter where they come from. His huge heart is nearly as big as his huge brown paws, no doubt signaling the physical and developmental growth he’s yet to accomplish. All things aside, he dreams of becoming a warrior, having fed off of the stories that Verdin had told him on the journey.
