XD i don't even know where anyone got the idea that he devalues ladies. cuz he's stated that he's fine with his wife being free to love who she wants to. his whole thing is just that him and saskia getting married is a matter of politics, an alliance. He doesn't want politics to cost him or his wife a chance at happiness and true love.

The reason Serena would be against it is because she sees the marriage as an alliance as well BUT she also sees cheating as a bad example because it implies their union isn't meaningful enough to remain monogamous. Image is everything.

^ see now that is good and hearty drama potential. differing political views amongst a royal court. very juicy. very deep. much potential. especially if we throw in that they're siblings as well, so they probably do have some familial love and bond that makes their arguments that much more dramatic and emotionally ripping.

I think at this point most everyone has an extreme love hate relationship for my boi sedka. i don't see why cassim would side with sedka above his queen so, i imagine some very tense civil relationship would make sense.
