➳personality; calypso is a very sweet person who l likes interacting with others and meeting others. she is very intelligent and can often solve other people's problems easily. calypso is very soft-spoken and sensitive, making her very reserved and quiet at times when she isn't talking to somebody. she can be manipulative when she needs to be, often using others as a way to escape bad situations and whatnot. she is also somewhat self-centered, caring about her looks and clothes more than many other people do, and is a bit of a megalomaniac, doing everything she can to be better and more powerful than everyone around her. she doesn't like it when people she thinks are inferior to her try to boss her around because of the way her mom acted, and how she was extremely vain and condescending.
➳history; born in greece, calypso had always been hidden from the rest of the world by her mother, amphitrite. this was because she was a goddess, and her powers were far too dangerous for the rest of the world to see unless she could control them. calypso never stepped outside of her mansion, as well as her mother. growing up, she never had any friends, and this made her feel quite lonely. at the age of fifteen, calypso is taken to a strange world with ten other people, including her twin sister lillian. she is able to control her powers soon after she comes to this world, and about a year of being in the place calypso finds out that lillian is her twin, and that she was taken to anerica to live with her "aunt." infuriated that amphitrite wouldn't tell her this, calypso fled, becoming alone once more. after two more years, calypso gets out of the world and starts living with lillian for a year, until she got taken to this castle, of course.
