Brave, protective, alert, confident, caring.
Riot is a brave horse, always checking things out to see if they are a threat or not and doesn't back down from a challenging horse. He is extremely protective of his herd, always keeping an eye out for rival stallions or predators. If a predator is attacking, Riot will always stay and fight while the others run to safety. Riot makes to sure to be the first to check and test something new to ensure nothing will attack or harm his herd. Riot cares deeply for his herd and only wants and tries to do what is best for them. He makes sure to give attention to all of his mares and foals as evenly and fairly as possible. He is always going to have favorites, of course, but he tries not to show or treat them too differently from the others.
Life Before Humans Disappeared:
Riot was a successful show horse in his time with humans, he even won enough points for legion of excellence, and had been bred to many Arabian mares around the globe. Riot won numerous halter shows and excelled in cutting and endurance competitions. When he was not showing, Riot was kept in pasture with a herd of mares or geldings, sometimes both mares and geldings. When he was showing, he was kept in a paddock and stall. When the humans disappeared, he was in his paddock. At first he didn't really care, he had grass and a small pond to drink from, but as the days went on, Riot found he wanted more in life. He wanted better food, better water, more room to run, mares and foals. He wanted to be free, and that's what he got. He spent quite a long time trying to figure out how to open his pasture gate, but when he did, he high tailed it out of there to start his new life as a feral horse.
