Pinetrail was born into a litter
of four; two she-cats and two toms.
He was the second youngest of the g
roup, and definitely the kindest. He
was a quiet one growing up, almost
always pulling himself away from ac
tivities and games. His siblings were
constantly making friends, whereas
Pinetrail sat near his mother or fath
er. The tom was, quite often, a sou
rce of laughter from the other kits -
and not jokingly or kindly. Pinetrail
was often called simple things such
as 'Pinefail' or 'Pinesnail,' for his clu
msy nature. However, when the po
