after serving the pack for many years the old Alpha male has finally passed on, joining his mate and family in the stars; his oldest pup _____ has been appointed as the new Alpha, they have promoted Grimm to Beta Male, allowing his parents- the old betas -to retire.

As the name suggests, the pack lives deep in a pine forest surrounded by large mountains; there is a thick mist that lingers year-round, creating a cold and moist habitat for the wolves that reside here. despite the cold there seems to be an abundance of prey but with that comes predators such as mountain lions and other lone wolves, though the pack hardly comes in contact with them. they make their camp in a large clearing near the center of the forest, their dens are a are holes dug into the ground with thick bramble branches woven over the entrance for protection from the climate and possible raids from other wolves; there is a small stream that encircles the camp with stepping stones for access to the forest.

- warriors: the strongest in the pack besides the alpha, beta and delta; fighters who protect and patrol the pack lands and borders.
- hunters: the fastest in the pack, ensures everyone has food in their bellies, most essential members of the pack.
- warrior trainees: young pups between 6-12 months training to be warriors, usually the strongest from their litter, they are taught to protect and defend everyone.
- hunter trainees: the remaining young pups between 6-12 months who weren't picked for warrior training, they are taught to stalk and hunt prey.
- mothers: females nursing or pregnant with pups.
- pups: self explanatory, usually between 0-6 months.
- elders: the retired members of the pack, sometimes they help advise the alpha with certain things.
- omegas: wolves who have been demoted, were to weak to become a hunter/warrior, or are deformed in any way; escape goats used to relieve anger, such as being yelled at or attacked but not to the point of severe damage; tend to the mothers and they eat last. very rarely can they be promoted.
- loners/rogues: wolves who have left or been banished from their packs, looking for a new one or simply enjoying the solitary life.
