this is the land of heathaea. a lush land inhabited by birds of
prey of all sorts. all was peaceful and well, and the avians
were prospering. there was set of strict rules and riches
reserved for the birds of heathaea solely. until the vespi
came. they were birds absorbed into shadows of pure terror.
they were the demons themselves.

they wanted revenge against the monarchy. there
was prey to share and they weren't getting them. with that,
the vespi and the avians were locked in a terrible war. one,
two, three years, this war raged on. once things had
finally settled down, the atmosphere was changed now
somehow, the usual azure blue sky giving way to an inky void
of darkness and the crescent moon.

the sun no longer rose. chill and dampness settled in the air.
were the high ones punishing them all for their bloodshed?

you are a bird of prey. you have heard all the terrifying tales
of death at the vespi's hands. you have seen the starless
night. now it is your turn to survive.

the royal family, or the rebellion as they call it against the
vespi, live in a wide stretch of land somewhere
from the heart of heathaea to the west of it, which occupies
the bay, surrounding woods and a partial bit of the
mountains. water bodies are plenty and there is
pristine sand and lush undergrowth with exotic plants
and wildlife. the birds make their birthing nests
carved in a small airy cove cave with outcrops on its
inner walls. near the woods is the dangerous rapids.

in front of the cove is a graceful archway.

the most abundant prey available is the hare or the rabbit.
the birds also eat rodents, fish, deer, foxes, or perhaps
even other wild birds. berries and nuts are only eaten
if prey is scarce. predators include bears, coyotes, foxes,
wildcats, and especially snakes pose a danger to nursing
mothers and their unhatched eggs.

the sweetheart. she is sweet, loving and caring, never
hesitating to lend a hand. she is the peacemaker and
usually manages to lift her tribemates' spirits up
when they are feeling down. this makes her a little
too optimistic and gullible though. (enet.)
the diva. she is a drama queen. the diva always ensures
that her feathers are clean and glossy, and hates
getting herself wet or filthy. she might seem aloof, but
deep down she is loyal and determined. (weeping)
the graceful. she is an elegant and kind thing,
always benevolent and compassionate, wise and patient.
yet when she snaps, things won't be pretty, and she
hates the fact that birds judge her for her looks.
they see an exquisite bird, but there is really so
much more than that. (rarest)
the fiery. this queen makes things ugly when she is
ticked off badly. despite being wise beyond her years
and motherly, her temper often gets in the way. she
cannot control herself, and that is what she is most
ashamed of and sometimes shuns away. (endless)

the leader. a natural leader, the leader is brilliant at
strategizing and carrying out hunting parties and
patrols. he may seem too dominant and sometimes
unreasonable, but he has a good heart and cares
deeply for each and every one of his tribe. (open)
the protective. the protective is a little too
over-protective. his mate loves him for being so
fond of her, but she wishes he would stop
tailing her everywhere. if he hears you speaking
badly about his mate, he would give you a nasty
bite. his character makes him jump to
conclusions. (open)
the confident. he is sure of himself and his
actions. never shy, the confident is always
outspoken. he speaks with zest and enthusiasm.
he embraces his mistakes when he stumbles. but,
such confidence can become stuck-up. he insists
that his opinions are correct, and when proved
otherwise, he would just shrug them off. (enet.)
the humorous. he makes a joke out of
nearly everything. he knows your weaknesses
and how to make you double over in laughter.
he knows to joke in emergencies, though you
are not in the mood for something witty at times,
and the humorous might come across as extremely
annoying. other than that, he is sweet,
protective, and loyal to his mate and whoever
he is close to. (endless)

for the females: lady, duchess, princess and queen
respectively. for the males: king, lord, prince
and duke respectively.

king and queen are mates. princess and prince are
siblings. lord and lady are mates as well, but the
rest are not mates necessarily.

the weather today is exceptionally chilly, with a
strong wind blowing from the north. it is as dark
as always, with the appearance of deer, hare and fish.
foxes are also particularly active at this time of the day.
it is currently early morning. snowfall seems to be
coming soon, though there is still no frost or ice evident.
