My name is Angelica Kirova, and I am the Headmistress of Madoka Academia, school for the gifted. I am sending you this letter today to congratulate you on passing our entrance exam. As a new student of Madoka, it is my pleasure to personally welcome you to our school. We look forward to seeing you in the coming Spring Quarter. Now, before you arrive, there are a few things you must know about Madoka and how we run things here at the Academy. In the envelope, you should find all the information you need concerning class schedules, our student handbook, and a list of rules. You will also find your dorm assignment. You will also find an booklet that will allow you to order our school uniform; please do so immediately so that the uniform will arrive prior to the start of the quarter.

The Plot -

Up until now, being a kid with magical heritage has pretty much been all fun and games. You've used your powers for good and not-so-good pranks and generally goofed off and had fun with it. But now, it's time to get serious. Attending Madoka Academia, the most distinguished and well-respected of all the Magical Schools, is a pipe dream for most young Witches and Warlocks. Getting in is extremely difficult, and it involves several advanced magical tests you have to train for years to actually pass. Having magical abilities isn't enough; you have to have real talent and dedication to make it into this school. The students who do, miraculously, manage to get in are the best of the best. They have the heart, the dedication, and the talent to make it into the big leagues. However, many students still drop out each and every year because in the end, they simply aren't good enough. Now, it's your turn to shine. You have been accepted into Madoka Academia's Spring Quarter and you couldn't be more excited. You, with your trusty new familiar, must work together to survive the next four years and, hopefully, graduate and go on to do great things. But it wont be easy. If you think regular high school is bad, just know that magical high school is ten times worst. The bullies are meaner, the subjects are harder, and on top of all that... the cafeteria food still stinks. Yeah, High School sucks no matter where you go. Can you survive?

2. Read and obey the rules listed here; I am the owner of this roleplay and I reserve the right to accept, ban, or otherwise remove you from my roleplay as I see fit. Hopefully it won't come to that.
3. This is a semi literate roleplay. A minimum of 400 words per post is required, 200 with Writer's Block. Please use correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation as well.
4. No godmodding, powerplaying, or perfect characters. No forced relationships either, please.
5. Keep it PG 13 or below. Cussing is not permitted, as per CS Rules. Fade to black on all explicit scenes.
6. Images, special fonts, and links are NOT permitted when posting replies on the main thread. It is considered spam. That being said, please limit yourself to one image when posting forms on the discussion thread. I do ask for anime face claims only for Witches/Warlocks (Familiars can have realistic face claims) and that you provide a 200x200 character image when submitting a form.
7. Character forms and ooc chatter should be placed on the Discussion Thread. Please only post on the main thread when roleplaying in character.
8. Please be open to playing two characters; if we do not garner enough interest you WILL be asked to take on a second character, likely of opposite gender, and most likely you will be asked to play a familiar AND a Witch in this situation.

Familiars are demons who are summoned by young witches and warlocks. They typically take the form of an animal, and usually represent key traits that the young students exhibit themselves, personality wise. Familiars are guardians and protectors of Witches. Their very presence alone can enhance a Witches' abilities. Familiars also have magical qualities of their own and oftentimes assist their masters with harder spells. Familiars tend to be more comfortable in their animals forms, but they can take a more humanoid form in which they retain several key traits of their animal form. Typically these traits are ears and tails, occasionally noses, and rarely sharp canines and retractable claws. Familiars can speak perfectly well in both human and animal form, but they also have a psychic bond that allows them to speak telepathically to their human counterparts. Familiars are IMMORTAL. While Witches and Warlocks live far longer than humans, they do grow old and die. Familiars live forever, and when their mistress or master dies they return to their home realm until they are summoned for another assignment. Familiars can be killed; but they heal extremely fast so it's difficult.
