strong bond can produce the most powerful magic. here at aurora nova, you'll summon
your familiar, learn more about your magic, and even each other. remember, for fight

your unfamiliar familiar
familiars are summoned from the spirit plane- once they leave, they're bound
to the mortal plane through the bond, so they cannot really return. they mostly
lived with other spirits of their same animal in a clan. witches and their familiars
fight shadows, which are something along the lines of spirit infected animals or
monsters, no one is too sure. but they're bad news, and hurt a lot of people/can
poison crops. familiars age can range from 20 - 100, spirits don't age normally. 20
is very young to be summoned, while 100 is very old to be summoned, so most tend
to be between 30-50 in spirit years. (15- 25 equiv) time in the spirit realm moves x2.
witches tend to be 16-20 when the summon their familiar, depending on when they
came into their magic. some spirits choose to never become familiars and don't
allow themselves to be bound. it's unknown how long a spirit can live, as older spirits
cannot become familiars, and most familiars don't ask about the ages of clan elders.

the familiar represents a personality trait the witch lacks. they might possess the trait
too strongly. the witch balances the familiar, and the familiar is there to help the witch
a familiar / witch bond can be broken, but it is very rare as a witch can never bond with
another. the death of a witch usually leads to the death of the familiar, but not always.
familiars are shapeshifters, with an animal form + human form
