A Tour of Eragon Castle and EdenBrook

Eragon Castle
The late Eragon found this castle as a ruin and him and loyal allies rebuilt it and founded the New Dragon Rider Order once it was rebuilt. The castle is surrounded by the bay on the left side and the Dead Forest on the right. There is only one safe path to Eragon Castle and that path starts at EdenBrook, a little village east of the Castle and across the river.

The Kitchen
The Kitchen is were the meals are prepared and the Mead Hall has an identical Kitchen below it.

The Kitchen Storage Room
The storage room is where all the food is kept and is in the cellar below the kitchen as to keep the food cold. The storage room has a back door that opens out to a back path so new food can be easily put into the storage room.

The Bedrooms
There are many many bedrooms in the castle because of all the riders and servants. Every bedroom is identical and everyone has their own room, though most of the time the young Riders tend to choose someones room and a bunch of them will meet in said room.

The Common Room x
There is a large common room to the left of the kitchen. If you are coming from the kitchen the common room opens up into a tavern type area with a bar, fire pit, and tables. This is where all meals are served. If you keep going the next area of the common room has a large fire place and a bunch of couches and chairs to lounge around. A lot of the young Rider students use this area to study.

The Armory
The Armory is basically a wide enclosed hallway filled to the brim with different sorts of weapons, shields, and armor. If you need it the armory is bond to have it. The Mead Hall has a small armory below it.

The Mead Hall x
The Mead Hall is a few miles south of Eragon Castle and it is like a common building home to an armory, a kitchen, and a training yard. This building is used quite frequently by the Riders.

The Training Room
The training room is the largest area in the castle and since it is so important it is in the center. It is a large stone room with various pieces of equipment to train young Riders and so Senior Riders can keep in practice.

The Stables
The Stables are against the side of the castle facing the forest. This is where the horses are kept.

EdenBrook
The village is a quaint little village and it gets a lot of travelers heading to Aberon. All of the buildings face in towards the towns center which is a large fountain. All the houses spread out from the town center so an aerial view of EdenBrook would be a bunch of buildings in the shape of a circle. There are also a few farms a few miles outside of EdenBrook.

The Dragon Room
A room that is made of stone and it is very large and almost seems like a horse stable but the ceiling is very high and there are places for large animals with wings to perch on. This room is in the castle and is where hatched dragons and the eggs live. Young dragons that have hatched for their riders stay there until they get big enough to live outside on top of the castle where the adult dragons nest. About in the middle of the room there is a pile of dragon eggs, dormant until they feel the presence of a worthy rider. Dragons only hatch in the presence of their rider and the rider will hear a calling in the back of their mind drawing them to the egg. When the rider touches the egg the dragon rider mark will burn into their hand and the egg will begin to hatch.

A Tour of the Land

The Forests
A large majority of Alagaësia is covered in forest. The Dead Forest surrounds Eragon Castle and EdenBrook while Du WeldenVarden is home to the Elven clans.

The Landscape
If you aren't surrounded by forest or desert you are traversing over the rocky terrain of Alagaësia's landscape.

The Bays and Oceans
Alagaësia is surrounded by water and this makes trading by ship a profitable endeavor.

The Desert
Hardarac Desert separates most of the races from each other as it is in the middle of the land, but if you are willing to travel through the desert you can easily get to where you need.

The Different Races



The Elves
Elves are a race of beings who migrated to Alagaësia from Alalëa in the distant past: around 5217 AC. Humanoid in appearance, they had noticeably angular features, slanting eyebrows and pointed ears, as well as a feline face: they were generally tall and always slim. Most elves are more gifted with magic than the other races and have an innate knowledge of their Spoken Names, thus making them more powerful than other races. Elves are also extremely smart and wise, perhaps by their long lives. Elves have Spoken Names that are given to them when they display a unique trait about their person. These Spoken Names are used more as a title then an actual name. Most elves live in the Du Weldenvarden with their clans. There are multiple clans in the forest and each clan has slightly different customs.
Elves are immortal beings and will not die from natural causes, but can still be killed while fighting such as bleeding out, getting stabbed or shot with an arrow. Elves are naturally taller than the other races, but male elves tend to be taller than their female counterparts.

The Dwarves
Dwarves were one of the only races native to Alagaësia. Known as lovers of rock and stone, dwarves had a long lifespan and often lived in large, underground cities in the Beor Mountains. One of the most famous dwarf cities was located in Farthen Dûr. The city itself, Tronjheim, was the secret hiding place of the Varden up until the Battle under Farthen Dûr. The dwarves had many clans such as the Dûrgrimst Az Sweldn rak Anhûin and the Dûrgrimst Ingeitum. With the fall of the Empire the Dwarves were accepted into the Dragon Riders along with the Urgals.
Dwarves have longer lifespans than humans, but are not immortal like elves. Most dwarves have tempers and are well known for being able to drink anyone under the table. The dwarven people are short and stalky and most have bears, even the women sometimes have more noticeable peach fuzz.

The Humans
The human race was not native to Alagaësia; along with the elves and the Urgals, humans came from some unknown continent across the Western Sea in ages past. The first twenty humans landed in what later became Surda; however, according to Orik Thrifksson, these humans merely came to visit. In the year 7203 A.C., King Palancar docked not far from the elven city of Teirm with a fleet of ships carrying his people. He and his subjects, collectively known as the Broddrings, had sailed northeast from some unknown coast. They are held to have intended to colonize Surda, but just as they were about to reach land, an unexpected storm blew them back out into the open sea. When the Broddrings had regained sight of land, they found themselves faced with the Spine. Palancar, however, sailed onward, along the way establishing a settlement that would become the town of Kuasta someday. When the humans landed near Teirm, the Riders and the elves showed their physical and magical might, then explained which land belonged to which race, then offered them whatever land they wanted, as long as it was unclaimed. Palancar, intimidated, agreed.

So, with her permission, I decided to remake the roleplay. Here's the old thread if you'd like to look at it.

Below is the daily schedule for all students. Breakfast is mandatory and any student who does not attend will be reprimanded. Each student will have two minutes between classes to arrive at their next class. Lunch is mandatory, but may be eaten outside. If a student is eating outside they need to report back inside, finished with their meal by the one o'clock bell. Students must maintain a passing grade of a B minus and pass all class Finals to become eligible for graduation. Although there is only two allotted hours for students to see their Mentor's, students may go and study with their Mentor during any of their Free time. Finally, if you would like to teach a class, please speak to one of the two elders. (BigBlueEyes or me?sarcastic?) We would like only Senior Riders without mentors to teach unless informed otherwise.

I was born in Du Weldenvard. When the dragon eggs came around, Orllet hatched for me. A few months later we left the village to train with Eragon and the other riders.

Rhaenys sat outside, having found a nice shady spot she could see the ocean from. Ever since arriving as a junior rider, she could never get enough of the expanse of water. There was no ocean in Ellesméra, just trees as far as the eye could see. Becoming a dragon rider was what had allowed her to see more of the world, for which she was grateful. Sharpening on one of her swords on a whetstone she had borrowed from the armory, Rhaenys figure she might as well enjoy the peace and quiet before the young ones arrived. Even Aemon had flown off, to hunt before he was required to aid his rider in mentoring.

Eliar sighed, dragging his feet as he walked in exhaustion. Luckily for him, he had no personal belongings beside his stolen sword, so at least he didn't have anything weighing him down. Still, he was hungry, thirsty, and a bath would be worth more than all the gold in the world to him. Cursing himself for refusing to take a break in Edenbrook, he continued on. When the castle finally appeared in the distant, Eli almost cried in relief, before realizing there was no one in sight. Moving off the road a grouping of rocks, he sat against one, waiting to see if anyone else would appear while he rested his legs.
