He's so old now, You remember hearing of how your parents met him,
his grey hair shines and it's softness exaggerated by it's thinness.
He smiles at you, "I recognize you,"
You smile back at him, "I was told how my parents met you,"
He slowly Limps towards the table in the lab, towards his work you assume,
"My mother told me that you wanted to talk to me!" You push.
Quietly Oak speaks, "Your parents were great Pokémon trainers,
they stood here as you do now, and chose a Pokémon, they showed their potential,
But, once they met and had you, dear child, they couldn't help me,
They had a child to care for.
But, less about them and more about me and you,
I want you to help me with my work,
I would love to do it myself of course, but I think that perhaps it's time for me to give up,
Hand the baton to someone younger and much more capable!
We know almost every Pokémon, but there are some more out there,
I just know it." He paused to catch his breath and leans upon his workbench,
"Pokémon are in almost every part of the world,
Some are not known, you need to help me!
The question I am asking is, will you help me with my Pokémon studies?"
