This shook Talab a little, and when his sister and mother decided to move on, he said goodbye and left alone. Lyra/Scarlett shuffled through the forest. It was a lovely summer afternoon, and she was headed towards the river for a swim. All around her the forest was alive and filled with its various voices: the soft wind rustled the leaves in the trees towering above her, the frogs in the nearby creek croaked, the birds that flit through the skies sang lullabies. She unconsciously began to hum along.
