Welcome to Woodridge, a small town in Alaska filled with deep history. Woodridge is hidden by towering mountains and lush forests surrounding the town. Due to this, Woodridge doesn't receive many new people coming to visit or live here, but there are the rare chance that someone with family relations to some of the people living there comes to move in. Everything was very peaceful in the town, but that was before a conspiracy journalist decided to visit and look deep into the lore of Woodridge and it's founders and spread the rumors of werewolves hidden within the small town. Every since the story got out, tourist and those hoping to catch a glimpse of "The Werewolves Of Woodridge" decided to stay in town, causing unease tension among the residents.

I am writing from the small town of Woodridge, Alaska. You might be asking yourself, where? And that is exactly the reason I'm writing this, this story for the world to know.

I was doing a college research paper on the history of wolves when I stumbled upon a link to a place I've never heard of, Woodridge.

When I clicked on said link, it brought me to a very outdated website of the town. While reading the site, I noticed a link on the side named 'wolves'. Since that's what my research paper was about, I clicked on it, but it wasn't the wolves I was looking for. When I clicked on the link it brought up a whole page about werewolves and their origins. At first I was like you, unable to believe it, but then I read more and more, eventually, my curiosity got the better of me and I decided to plan a trip out to the unmaped town.
When I arrived I was met with hostility from the locals, seeing as they were wary of outsiders, which would be understandable if the legend held true.

While staying in a small cabin I rented from one of the more friendly locals, I could hear faint howls coming from what seemed like all around the town; when I had asked the townspeople of the sounds, they acted as if they didn't know what I was talking about. I soon discovered footprints, too large for a normal Alaskan, or any wolf; after recording the sounds one night, I soon noticed that the howls were the loudest during full moons, and they were more frequent and irregular in pitches.

My last night there was one of great tension, I had only been there three days, but of those three days, I could always feel the eyes of the locals burn into my skin.

Below is all the information about these werewolves that I collected from a local, I had promised I wouldn't say anything, but sometimes promises must be broken;

1. They aren't as affected as rumored by the full moon
2. Only the young are severely affected
3. They can turn whenever they choose
4. They turn into large wolves, not the half man half wolf of legend
5. Many or all are living in this town
6. There are two packs, The Pinewood Pack and The Summit Pack
7. You can tell which is from which pack by a marker, usually a tattoo
8. The young can change, the youngest being year 10
9. The color of the wolves almost always match their human hair-color
10. More human presences cause the change to happen faster

He wandered around town in his human form. He was wearing black skinny jeans and a dark grey hoodie. His hands were shoved into his jeans pockets as he glanced around the various shopping places and inns. He wasn’t particularly interested in buying anything or browsing, he was just bored and wanting to stretch out his legs. That and he didn’t feel like being around his pack members. He was more of the independent type. He could care less about the pack rules and having to go out with another member. He was much happier being alone than being tailed by someone older.

Maddie sat in the restaurant section of the bed and breakfast, grading the large stack of papers her students had written. She was on her fourth cup of coffee and within the final stretch. If she could just finish these last few papers, she could start making the final exam and work ahead just a bit. Her eyes glanced down at the clock. Mid-afternoon. She'd been working for just under nine hours. Unconsciously, Maddie cringed at the thought of working for so long. She closed her eyes for a moment as she debated taking a break, before drinking the last of the cup of coffee and continuing with her work.

Tony loved to feel the wind through his fur as he ran to the edges of the Pinewood territory. He'd spend all day in the wolf form if he could but between school, which he didn't understand why he had to go, and work, which was only a way to get his parents off his back, he had to look human sometimes. But the moments where he had nothing to do but run through the woods and not care about parents, or homework, or memorizing the diner's specials, were bliss.
