Generally, no one cares what you do. Sure, they might pretend to, but they never do for real. Perhaps it's the selfishness of humankind; perhaps not. Either way, the rules don't apply to us, because we're different.
For years, inhuman creatures have wandered the bustling city streets, crept down the alleyways, and walked among the others. If there is one fortunate thing about humans, it is their inability to tell reality from fantasy.

They have for many years. Sometimes, they come close to discovery; but, every time, just before a breakthrough, they pull away. They return to whatever else they always do, whatever else could be more important.
