Times are changing. People have advanced, casting off the traditions of the past as they pave new roads to success. In this new era, most believe that the existence of such beasts as 'vampires' or 'werewolves' is merely a delusion of the past, superstitions which represent a more ignorant time. Of course, they could not be more wrong - but it seems most would prefer to have it this way. With creatures of the night content to fade into legend in the minds of the masses, and the number of humans who believe in them dwindling, a pact has been made. As a matter of fact, it was made many years ago, when its subjects were only children. This agreement proposed a series of arranged marriages which would unite the most powerful families on all sides - vampire, werewolf, and, of course, human. Some of these unsuspecting human heirs in fact have no idea vampires or werewolves are even real, and believe their arrangements are purely political. Others come from lineages which once boasted of their prowess in hunting creatures of the dark, and may even be reluctant to give up such a heritage. Should these betrothals be accepted, peace should, theoretically, come at last. But, of course, there is always a chance these headstrong youths might defy the paths chosen for them. Do they refuse their marriages and jeopardize the unity of their peoples, or accept what has been decided for them, even if it's not where their heart lies?
