It happened years ago. A sickness began to spread over the Earth. It was like nothing scientists had ever seen before. It started out much like the flu, keeping people bedridden with a fever over one-hundred degrees fahrenheit. But then it got worse. People would cough and sneeze blood. Blisters began to form on the body. Hospitals were over run with what they called Infection Z. Many people began to die all at once. Everyone was scared. Mayhem broke out. Governments fell. Entire Countries were destroyed. Nobody was safe, nobody could escape Infection Z. At least that's what the survivors thought. A new generation sprouted. They were able to withstand the forces of Infection Z. But with this new generation came something nobody had ever seen before, powers and mutations. Creatures which were once thought of as fairy tales or scary stories were now becoming real. This new generation was called The Infected, but with the Infected came The Saviors, at least they thought they were saviors. The Saviors also had powers and mutations, but they wanted nothing to do with any of it. So they began to abduct Infected and run tests on them, trying to figure out how to make everyone human again. If you were one of the abducted you were part of The Taken.

The Forest, once lush and beautiful, full of plants and animals, has been slowly dying away. It lays south of the city and holds a dark secret, The Labs, but we'll get to that soon. The Forest is a good place to try and hunt, though not many animals reside there anymore. Plants that blossom fruits have mostly gone away but berry bushes are plentiful. Water is constantly running, and fish thrive in the streams. But be very careful, because this is the place they like to hide, The Hunters I mean, from The Labs. They silently sit and watch, waiting for an Infected to come around, then they attack. That Infected is then never seen from again.

The City is a large place full of many things. Most buildings have deteriorated over the years, and some have crumbled to the ground. But The City holds many wonderful secrets if you look in just the right place. Most stores have been cleared of food and water, but a bunker or two may hide below the surface with just what one might need to survive for years. The City also has some pretty great places to crash for the night, say a five star, top floor, luxury suite. But The City isn't all that great. Hunters lurk around the streets, trying to find any Infected to drag back to The Labs.

The Sanctuary isn't much of a sanctuary. It's just a place where The Infected began to hang out at. It stuck and became a small community, where everyone was given a specific job to do.
The Sanctuary is actually up north, a little ways past The City. It's an old, broken down mansion which lays in the middle of a large field with a brick wall surrounding the field and house. A few farm animals like cows and chickens roam around the field, but you must go outside of the brick wall to get fresh water and food.

ţђę ƥɭąçę ǫƒ ŋǫ ŗęţųŗŋ (ţђę ɭąɓş)
The Labs, but as The Infected like to call it, The Place Of No Return. The Labs sit somewhere deep in The Forest, but nobody but the workers at The Labs knows of its location. If you're one of The Infected then you better wish you never get caught by a Hunter from the Labs. Once in The Labs you don't get out. The Scientist run experiments on The Infected, trying to find out where they get their powers and mutations from, why they even have them. The Infected are locked up in rooms which much resemble jail cells, except everything is white and instead of bars there is one way glass which can't be broken. The Infected are put through horrible things and The Scientist seem to enjoy torturing them.
