stormstar: simply put - prey is built to flee. prey animals have every chance to escape from a predator. its a cycle really - I, like other cats, have to eat prey in order to survive. it sucks, but its the truth. ants, however, do not need to be killed by cats for food - which is why I absolutely hate it when I realise ive trodden on one. because that ant should've lived longer than it did. █
