"You shift nervously in your seat on the deserted ferry as it bounces along the waves. You've heard strange stories about the Equition Isles, as many good as bad. But finally you've mustered up the courage to visit the wild island chain. So you caught the monthly ferry and here you are, the main island has just started to come into view of the ferries bow. It seems green but is still so clouded in mist it's hard to tell. But it grows clear and closer as you peer at it, the mists almost seeming to part for the little boat as it skips along. As you get closer you see and island of sandy beaches and forests of mixed furs, pines, oaks, and many other trees you can't name. There's also a little dock, hardly more then a few logs, but it's your stop. The little ship pulls up and stops next to the dock so you can climb out. The captain shakes his head and calls loudly. "Good luck!" As he pulls the boat away. He thinks you're nuts, but hey, he also says he's never set foot on these islands! What can he know?
You walk along the deserted little path that leads into the woods from a dock, your pack slung over your shoulder. Was that captain right to think you were crazy? The mist begins to roll back in and you start getting even more nervous. Is there anyone here? Then through the mist you hear the thunder of horses hooves and you stop. Staring ahead into the mist to see if you can see the beasts. For just a moment you see two horses standing before you, oddly colored and too long and lean for any normal horse. They toss their heads and you know somehow that the gray is a mare and the bay a stallion. Then the two horses just seem to disappear into the mists and the mist clears, showing before you a good sized and busy town on the slopes of the hills before you. And you hear whispered in your ears by a kind female voice and a rumbling male one. -"

Places

The Dock

This is the first place most people see when they land on the island. Normally the island is wrapped in a thick blanket of mist, hiding its beauty. The ferry drops off and picks up people here.

The Town

The first thing that greets travelers who've gotten off of the ferry. The townspeople are friendly, but a bit busy, and many of them own their own horses.

The Islands

Equi Isles are actually a chain of islands connected by small rope bridges. The land is broken and dotted by multiple bodies of water, and there are large clearings all over the place. A few structures, mainly stables, dot the landscape, but other than those, it is wild and free. Here is where horses are caught and tamed, or bred, but never mistreated.

Just as his name and markings suggest, Wynter is cold and hostile. He usually doesn't like people, but will connect with one person. With that person, he seems more like a dog than a stallion. He hates warmth and sunlight, and in general is nothing but a big grouch. He does not get along with other stallions and is kept in a different part of the stable, where he can't see them. He only tolerates mares to a certain extent, and many mares pastured with him bear scars.

Tyconderoga is fiercely protective of "his" mares, and therefore cannot be pastured with any other stallions. He has a particular hatred for Cookie, although the reasons for that are unknown at this time. Towards humans and mares, he tends to be a bit bipolar, alternating between sweet and affectionate and mean or indifferent. He hates to be penned up, so keeping him in a stall is not really an option. He is a wild stallion, and therefore cannot be ridden or really even crosstied safely. He is friendly with one stallion only, Tapio. The two of them are almost inseperable, mainly because both are wild and hate to be confined.

Appearance: (Please post picture or GOOD description) Alena is a skinny girl with dark brown hair and hazel eyes (the pic is not 100% right). Height is 5'4 with a lithe slimly muscled body. She normally will wear shorts (flare bottom blue jeans in cooler weather) and a tee-shirt, tank top, or mid-rif shirt. Occasionally as shown obove she will dress up for some special occasion. She wears glasses for reading as much as anything, but mainly wears contacts and laughs when people ask why she wears them; she simply states "They're my style."

Personality: Alena is the main caretaker of the ranch, yet she remains behind the scenes. You will rarely catch sight of her, but if you need her she will be there. Alena is rather reclusive and solemn, this does not prevent her from being friendly and outgoing toward people, as she has two sides of a personality.

The first: She remains by herself or with one of her companions and works or simply ponders. A lover of thinking and figuring out things. Among her rushes of thought she hurriedly scribbles down lines of poetry that comes to her mind or other stray thoughts or ideas. Often she will absently sketch and occasionally settle down to work on a complete poem. She loves the darkness and also the light and gazing at nature. She hates insects, spiders and snakes though, but does her best to tolerate them. Her heart does not remain in everything, but she does her best to at least act so. She also acts like she has a bit of OCD she likes things to look nice and neat. She will occasionally wander about in the main core of activity in town, but she tends to fade into the background and simply observes giving off an aura that seems to repel people away and leave her alone in her own peace.

The second: When in public and at simply at times she feels like it Alena is very sunny and outgoing. She will humor others and usually enjoy doing so. She acts without knowing it making people laugh at her insanity or just give her weird looks like she's crazy, which she in returns laughs herself and brushes it off. She can be extremely happy and hyper and is just loving to every one hugging people and getting along great with most all. She remains ever observant though, hiding it well as she casually goes along.

Among the things she can not tolerate is how much mankind has turned upon itself and is so centered on destroying itself as well as greedy and inconsiderate. A quick look from her will put you in your place if you are misspeaking, or it should because she will quickly turn venomous if you do not. She won't tolerate people who hurt others or her and will firmly stand up for what she believes is right no matter how stuck up, stupid, or suck up it looks. Her tongue is sharp and she will lash out in unretaliable retaliation. Her anger can reach great height and she tries to slip away from the crowd to calm herself. Her past and her experiences carve her the way she is.

Human Companion: Alena -mostly when she is in her brighter mood and occasionally in her darker moods.
Personality: Fallon is a young stallion and a loner, he was born on the plains, but wandered through thick jungle swamps and his rolling, playing, and diet of the strange plants and grasses there turned his handsome buckskin coat even more beautiful with green patterns. His unique eyes turned a deeper shade of green along with the change and he grew to love the forest, jungle, plains, and swamp. He loves to run, feeling strong and powerful as he stretches his legs, but can be extremely shy and sometimes awkward around other horses. As a young stallion he was released from the herd with some other young bachelors, but he drifted apart from them after he got bored with their play fighting and general, dull existence. While fiercely wild he is increasingly curious about humans and cautiously observes them.He has never been ridden and is already wary and will not let them close enough to him if they even see him, seeing as how he blends into the foliage. He is simply wild.
Likes/dislikes/friends/etc: Fallon loves rolling in the grass and standing with the wind blowing through his coat (it gets quite dusty xD). He gets along with mare's and stallion's/gelding's quite fine, but tends to drift away from them all and is yet to get attached to any special mares. He dislikes mud very much above all though he loves water. He also had a distaste for sand and other overly boisterous males, but he tends to ignore them anyway. In the heat of the day he loves to stand in the shade, it's his least favorite time of the day.

Personality: Mostly unknown. The fleet glimpses that people have seen of her are brief and her presence bears weight. She prefers to spend her time among bright-colored foliage that matches her coat and she roams the beach shores, around water sources such as rivers, ponds, and streams, and wanders around the greek gardens filled with white columns, lightly colored tile paths, and colorful plants. When she speaks is it well thought out.

Other: There will be little interaction with her, she does not often make appearances and the most rping of her will be her by herself wandering around and maybe by chance glimpsed by another horse but seldom to none. I would prefer the interaction to be initiated by me. Also her powers are unknown (she is a mythic after all ^^)

Ever since she was little, she has loved horses. After many years of hard work and dedication, she now owns the Serenity Moth Stables. Accustomed to the work, Lena does much of the up-keep of the stables all on her own. But she does get the occasional help from her ranch manager, William "Woody" Valkoi. Along with her horses, she owns a male black cat named Appleseed (shown in the picture) and a female Australian shepherd named Cookie (looks like this).

He likes sugar cubes, night rides, and running in the rain. He is not a big fan of hot weather.

Akiya is small woman standing at only 5 feet. Her eyes are blue and her hair is a red gold color. She usually wears shorts and belly shirts and she despises shoes. If she wants to dress up, her clothing consist of a skirt and belly shirt made of deerskin. She will wrap her feet in the winter and wear pants and a t-shirt but only if its cold enough.

Personality: Akiya is a cold and mysterious person, preferring to be left alone. She comes and goes at her whims and is usually very hard to find as she seems to disappear. She doesn't of course, she just has certain skills gained from her past that allow her to move around mostly undetected. When she does decide to stick around and be social, she often times tries to be friendly but it only lasts until someone wants to know about her past. Then she'll become cold and angry, often leaving rather than talking about it. Akiya's has a soft spot however for any wildlife, especially horses. She prefers horses to people and can often be found lounging with one horse or another in a glade or clearing. She is fiercely protective of any wildlife and will confront anyone harming wildlife.

Synne slowly rode across the fields of her ranch, her eyes scanning the fields around her. She smiled as she watched her horses playing, her legs guiding her stallion, Wynter, beneath her. Suddenly she wheeled him around and kicked him into a gallop, loving the feeling of freedom riding offered her.
