The tabby woke with a yawn, green eyes blinking blearily as Cedarwhisker took a moment to fully wake up. As he sat up, he glanced up as Mushroomdapple left the den and turned his attention to the nest beside him. Dovespeckle was still sound asleep, curled in a tight ball with her fluffy tail resting over her muzzle. Cedarwhisker gave her a look of fond amusement before prodding her gently with a white paw. "The patrols will be sent out soon," He reminded her, ignoring the mumbled complaint. Leaving her to wake up, the tabby padded out of the den, glancing around the camp to see if his apprentice was up yet. Approval flashed in his gaze to see the tortoiseshell molly leaving her den and he padded towards her, greeting her with a cheerful mew. "Good morning, Heatherpaw. I hope you slept well?" He asked her. "If we aren't assigned a patrol, how would you like to do some hunting practice?"

Did Cedarwhisker have to be such a busybody!? Dovespeckle groaned to herself, listening to her brother's pawsteps fade as he left the den. She was perfectly capable of waking herself up but sometimes she believed he still thought of her as a little kit. With a small huff, she sighed, her body uncurling from her sleep position. It was sweet though, how he cared, but Dovewhisker was a warrior now, capable of caring for herself, even if Cedarwhisker didn't see it. She shook her head, turning her attention to herself and beginning a luxurious grooming session. The molly didn't have as long of fur as others in the clan but her dusty grey pelt did require careful grooming, especially her tail. As soon as she finished, the young molly hopped out of the nest to join the rest of the clan gathered out of the dens. Cedarwhisker was already with his apprentice, Heatherpaw, but the sunny area under the tree looked warm and inviting, and the sun's rays shining down were fascinating. Barely noticing Mushroomdapple nearby, Dovespeckle lay down in the sun, her grey-blue eyes studying the hole where the sun filtered through. It was beautiful, one of the reasons she liked their camp.
Turtlepaw - female - 7 moons - medicine apprentice - tagged: Flowerpad, open
Pelt still somewhat damp from her early morning swim, the dilute calico molly hesitated in the camp's entrance, ears flattening against her head as she eyed her clanmates who were already awake. She'd had trouble sleeping last night, waking at the littlest of noises. Turtlepaw was usually a light sleeper but last night had been particularly difficult. Eventually, she'd given up and while the night sky was still dark, she'd slipped undetected out of the camp. By the time she'd reached the lake, the sky was barely beginning to lighten and Turtlepaw had been able to paddle around the edges of the lake, being careful not to go too far out. Although Turtlepaw had already been taught to swim, she wasn't ready to brave the lake's deeper waters. This time of night, twolegs tended to avoid going out of their dens, Turtlepaw had learned, but she still tried to be careful. Even so, she'd lost track of time, distracted watching a heron gliding over the lake's surface in search of fish. Dovespeckle would have loved seeing the bird, Turtlepaw had thought. By the time she'd gotten back to camp, the sunlight was shining with morning light. Kindlecloud was likely to have noticed her absence by now and would probably be upset. Apprentices weren't often able to go out of camp alone. Nervously, the medicine apprentice padded towards the medicine den, hesitating once more when she saw Flowerpad outside the den. It felt like the brown and black molly would know that Turtlepaw had been out of camp. "Good morning, Flowerpaw," Turtlepaw greeted, fluffing her fur out in hopes of making her morning swim less obvious.
