"Of course. I was about to find cats to join me." He admitted. "Those rouges, they've been becoming more and more bold this past moon." He added, briefing the situation. Just last night he had been smelling their scents inside Aspenclan borders, there was even evidence of hunting right at the border, though it's hard to tell if the prey was on their side or not. "I'm not sure how long it will be before we're competing for prey within our own borders."

She paused in standing as she heard a commotion from Webkit and Featherkit. She heard the finality of Morningfrost's words and let out a soft chuckle and smiled at her fellow queen. Seeing the queen deal with her kits made her kind of glad to only have had one kit. "I'll maybe see you outside after all this." She said to Morningfrost before leaving to grab her own prey to eat and make sure that Berrykit didn't get into any trouble.

She nodded to Hailstorm, accepting his offer on the hunting patrol. "Sure. I wanted to practice tracking with Ivypaw." She added, briefly smiling at her apprentice. "Will anyone be joining us?" She asked curiously, and half hoping no one else would considering she found it harder to focus when there were lots of cats around. However she wouldn't protest to anyone joining considering the state of the fresh-kill pile.

He grumbled as he awoke, rolling in his nest to try and fall back to sleep however as soon as he did, a thorn pricked his side and he startled suddenly and let out a huff of annoyance. Pawing at his nest he soon found the thorn. It was small and well hidden o he supposed that he shouldn't blame the apprentices for it despite how annoying it was. Picking it up with his teeth, he proceeded to stalk to the den entrance and place the thorn where it wouldn't hurt anyone and returned to his nest to groom his fur. Maybe some of the apprentices would visit and change his nest, hopefully there would be left over feathers from the nursery to make it softer.

She spotted Barkpelt, her uncle, talking to Ravenstar and was tempted to go over and talk to him but her stomach growled in protest and forced her to look at the fresh-kill pile. Though to her dismay, there was nothing left for her to eat. Her tail drooped in disappointment. Barkpelt and Ravenstar seemed to be in a serious conversation so she probably shouldn't disturb them and ask for food. Patrols should be back soon anyways, if she could hold on that long then it would be as if she was a warrior. Proud of herself for thinking like that, she padded around, looking for something to do.

Ravenstar considered Barkpelt's words. There have been more and more rogue scents on our territory. What is going on over there? Maybe I should sent a scout to check it out, she thought, glancing around the clearing. But who can I trust to keep their cover and handle the task? she wondered, glancing around. She wanted to pick a younger cat who was strong enough for the task. Maybe I should wait until Starclan speaks before I decide anything. I need to visit the moonstone, she decided, expressionless. After a few moments, she turned back to Barkpelt. "I'm going to speak with Starclan. Can you take over until I return?" she asked her deputy calmly.

Ivypaw's whiskers twitched with excitement. I can't wait to show off my hunting skills! she thought excitedly. Hunting always put Ivypaw in a good mood because she was good at it. Her hunting skills, while poor to a warrior, were excellent for her age. Battle training was the thing that made her frustrated. Both Larkpaw and Daisypaw managed to beat her nearly every time. Hopefully we don't get in a fight with the rogues soon. If we do, I don't know if I'll be of much use, she thought.

Juniper buried his squirrel near the roots of an oak tree on the rogues' side of the territory. He stalked through the undergrowth and searched for an easy kill. The scent of mouse hit his nose and he froze for a moment, trying to locate where the scent was coming from. He strained his ears and went to his left, seeing a rustling under some leaves. He moved forward slowly, then pounced on the mouse. He grabbed the mouse in his jaws and sat up proudly before returning to the squirrel to retrieve it. He carried both pieces of prey in his mouth as he returned to the make-shift rogue camp. He padded across the clearing and dropped the prey in a spot next to the giant rock. He figured he would rest for a bit, then go hunting again at Sunhigh.

"Okay!" Featherkit meowed excitedly before biting into the mouse. Her mother's scolding tone had gone right over her head, plus, she was happy to get a meal. She looked back at Webkit, and her tail drooped. Oh no, did I not defend Webkit well enough? she wondered, looking at Morningfrost. She stopped eating and looked from Webkit to Morningfrost. Of course I have to obey my mother, but what if Webkit gets sad and thinks I didn't defend her? she thought, her ears drooping a little.

Morningfrost nodded her head to Mapletail as the brown she-cat left the nursery, before returning her gaze to her daughters. Her amber eyes blinked slowly, noting that Featherkit had started to eat. She frowned slightly when the grey-and-white fur ball stopped eating, but a slow smile made it's way to her jaws when she realized why. Giving her head a shake the she-cat laid her head on her paws and waited. Her stomach gave a soft rumble, telling her to eat, but she would wait until her daughters ate.

"Of course." He replied, ready to take on the responsibility. "Are you going to be taking an escort?" He asked after a moments hesitation. The number or rouges that he'd smelt had worried him, but he also didn't want it to look like he was doubting Ravenstar either. However, if she were to even loose one life because of this then he'd probably blame himself for not being able to protect her or at least ensure that she wasn't alone on this journey.

After leaving the nursery, she padded to a shaded spot and began to wash her own pelt while every so often watching Berrykit to make sure she wasn't getting in trouble. From her little spot she could see her brother and the clan leader talking her brother, probably about something important and was glad that Berrykit seemed to get this and was staying away for the most part. SHe knew her precious kit was almost ready to become an apprentice and it worried her with the rouges that were around. While she had no idea what they were doing right this moment or even if they were still in the area, she couldn't help but worry that Berrykit would end up just like Casper.

She released a quiet sigh of relief but still felt a little bad for thinking that way about her clan mates. Following Hailstorm, she looked over her shoulder to make sure that Ivypaw was still there and following close by. Inwardly she hoped that they wouldn't be hunting near the border just in case the rouges were there, who knew what would happen if they ran into each other. Either way she would protect Ivypaw with her life if it came to it.

She was quickly becoming bored with the lack of other cats around. Most of the warriors were probably out on patrol while the apprentices were out training. She knew that Lichenjaw was probably in the elder's den but she had visited him yesterday and she wanted something new to do. Maybe when Webkit and Featherkit were done they could play together.
