her ears swivelled around before gulping a bit. She padded out of camp and looked down at the water. She had her heas above the flood. Deer felt Minnowkit wriggling around in her jaw, as she tried to hold on tighter, "Settle down!" She hissed a bit before the thing she vowed to never have happen did indeed happen. The silver kit slipped from her jaws and dropped into the current, "Minnowkit!" she yowled but it was no use; he'd already been swept away.

Creamflower smiles and follows Bearshadow, feeling very happy. She does feel guilty for leaving her birth Clan after all they had done to raise her into the cat she is today, but she knows that this is for the best. Either way, she would have to leave the Clan, but she would rather do it while there is no hostility among DuskClan. Listening to what Bearshadow said, she nods, realizing that they have to find DawnClan before joining in the first place. "That could be true." she said. "Joining DawnClan is easy. The hard part is to find it. But we can do it, I know we can."

The blue-grey she-cat offered her a sympathetic look "It's hard to get to know someone after they've already left you. You'll hear the good parts of them. The good memories of them. You maybe won't hear about the time they lost their temper with their apprentice. Or the ways they hated water or certain types of prey. You won't hear all about their quirks. Once cats are gone we tend to hold onto what they meant to us and how much we loved them.. All their good parts." she said shaking her head slightly. She then looked at her sister, it seemed her family was more complete than she'd previously thought and she too was interested in the story Brighteyes may have to tell.

Brighteyes listened to Bayclaw quietly as she spoke, wondering if she was speaking from experience before quickly deciding she must have been. As she probably had never let go of Petalpelt after her death. The silver tabby then turned her head to look at Waterflight and Stormyskies. She chuckled lightly "I've been all over." she said. She let out a soft sigh "After Petalpelt was killed.. We assumed Bayclaw was dead as well. My mother was distraught." she shook her head. "Not long after that my father died and that was all she could take. And she died of a broken heart.. My brothers were exiled not long after that for criticizing the way DuskClan worked.. For speaking out against the assigned mates and claiming they were the cause of the heartache and loss of cats our clan was suffering." she sighed softly. "After that.. I made sure a kind queen was taking care of Rainykit and Stormykit and I ran off.. I thought maybe if they were separated from the last of their family they'd grow up to not make the same mistakes." she shook her head. "I tried to find Wolfsong and Nightdust but I couldn't. So i've been wandering ever since. I come back close to DuskClan every so often.. Never dreamed of seeing anyone in my family again. Guess I wouldn't mind coming home now.. Knowing that Bayclaw and Stormyskies are around." she said.

Stormyskies stayed silent through the long speeches of both of his aunts. His families weakness it seemed was that they always relied on each other to the point where when they lost one another that was the end. And he was doing the same thing with Rainy.. But he felt this Wolfsong and Nightdust were right.. His uncles.. That these assigned mates were the cause of the hardship of the clan.. He'd seen so many exiled.. So many run away.. When it didn't work for some cats that was the end of their ability to stay here for long.. The clan felt like it was falling apart because of this..

Embergaze

Darkgaze paused, turning his head to look back at Nightspook "Are you alright?" he asked turning to walk back over to her. He still seemed to be perfectly calm regardless of the situation they were in. "Let's keep heading north." he said before he turned back around, waiting for her before he continued. Inside, Darkgaze was pretty worried, but he'd never let that show. He was the type of cat that hid his own feelings and fears in favor of being there for everyone else.

Swiftleap nodded "It is best to focus on us." he said before he frowned, watching Volekit carefully for a few moments before he continued. Swiftleap seemed a bit more guarded about his family now that they'd lost two of their kits. "We just have to get through this together.." he said softly. Swiftleap wasn't as extroverted as before, the tension that had been spreading through the clan because of the recent disasters seemed to have taken a bit of a toll on him. He wrapped his tail around Briareyes but his eyes never left their kits. "We've made it this far though, I think we'll be okay and I think the rest of the clan will be too." he said.

Treekit moved closer to his brother, frowning nervously. "Why would StarClan send it?" he asked softly. "Do you think we could have done something wrong?" he asked. He opened his mouth to speak again but was interrupted by their cousin Acornkit.
"We didn't do anything, StarClan doesn't punish kits." Acornkit interrupted suddenly. She frowned "Someone else would have had to have done something.." she said softly.

Hawktalon

Hawktalon sat in silence as he listened to Swiftleap and Briareyes speak, his gaze was on the rain still falling out over their territory. A worried look on his face as he silently prayed for it to stop.

Riverbriar pricked her ears when she spotted Brackenfall not far from where she was and let out a sigh of relief. She and Brackenfall weren't really close but.. Seeing anyone felt a surge of relief. She had no idea where her younger siblings were and her forbidden mate had perished in the flood.. She hadn't been able to save him and she felt like a complete failure. She dragged her paws as she moved closer to Brackenfall.

"I'm sure they're a much smaller clan so until they get up there in numbers they'll hide more from DuskClan." he said. "So I'd say probably much deeper into the territory then we should find them." he said.

Willowsong purred lightly her heart racing slightly when Treetail came close. She pricked her ears lifting her head up "We can finally sit down?" she said relief evident in her voice.

Just as a precaution." he said. "I need all the apprentices to find a warrior to escort them. I need at least one warrior to go with every queen to protect them as well." he said. "No one gets left behind." he said.

He decided to go for a wander and slipped out into the over flooding forest, letting his paws take him wherever. He wasn't upset, but he did need a moment to concentrate on everything and think.

He glared up at the clouds,"Starclan is just.. being dumb." His ears flickered backwards as lighting flashed across the distance, certain Starclan would stop the rain if they knew what it was doing.

Cliffleg moved towards the apprentice den, of which Frostpaw was peeking out of quietly. The old shecat gently ushered him out and informed him on the state of what was happening,"Come on Frostpaw, we're leaving camp for now..Where is my apprentice? I'll be able to watch both of you.." Her voice was steady, even for such a disastrous occasion. An odd calmness was still about her as she called out,"Slypaw? We have to go." Frostpaw, after a brief second of being calmed by his grandmother's actions, turned to look for her apprentice as well.

If Mom doesn’t come back soon I think I want to go find her. I’m worried.” Mousekit meowed. It can’t be too bad if Roseshadow made it here with Thrushkit.” She told her brother.

“Any ideas. Robinslash?” Blazepaw asked, looking around. “I suppose a badger den is a last resort.” She added, tail flicking. She was nervous it wouldn’t be easy to find a place to wait out the flood.

“Yeah I don’t exactly enjoy the rain. It’s a good way to get sick” Smokepaw meowed.
