Background

Bayclan was founded by a stocky tabby cat named Trout. Trout belonged to a clan once before, he was born and raised there, but left because of their lack or morality. After leaving his clan, Trout decided it was time for a change of scenery and headed towards the sea.

When Trout arrived he had no intention of creating his own clan, but upon meeting a stunning she-cat named Bay, who went through a similar situation, he decided to start his own clan. Trout was so inspired by Bay and her boldness that he named the clan after her.

Trout had little hope that anyone would join their clan, but Bay was confident that once the word got out about their new clan cats would come flooding in. She was right. Cats were pulled in by Trout and Bay's courageous decision to start a brand new clan from scratch.

Many moons went by and Bayclan was full of members, including Trout and Bay's own kits. The clan had established a border, found a safe spot to set up their camp, and found a good hunting ground. The only problem they had faced was an invasion of twolegs, because they were close to some twoleg houses, and a few dog and fox scares.

A great amount of time has passed since Trout and Bay ruled the clan. The new generation will face many challenges in the upcoming moons, but how will they handle it?

Territory

Camp is located in the forest section of Bayclan territory. Dens are made from large, thick bushes and big hollowed out fallen trees. The entrance to the camp is marked by two stable fallen trees covered in moss.

North of camp

The bay is located North of camp where the clan hunts for fish.

East of camp

Mainly forest, close to twoleg territory so hunting and training are kept to a minimum on the East side.

South of camp

All forest, however the clan only goes South of camp for border patrols due to fox sightings in that area.

West of camp

Mainly forest, also good for catching squirrels, mice and voles. Has a good sized pond also used for fishing, a easily crossable river and a flat grassy area perfect for training.

being an early riser, solarstar had been up for a few hours now, enjoying the quiet and peaceful morning. the tom valued his mornings, they were some of the only times he could be alone and think. he watched as the sun slowly began to rise and sunlight started to filter through the trees and into the camp. everyone would be waking up soon, he would have to assign hunting and border patrols. solarstar let out a quiet sigh, he had to choose a deputy soon, he needed someone besides his little sister to help him decide things.

sunstreak's eyes fluttered open as light began to make its way into the warriors den. normally, like her brother, she was an early riser, but lately she had been sleeping in. maybe it was because of all the late night patrols she had offered to go along with, or maybe she was getting sick. the bengal cat shook her head at the thought, no way, she couldnt get sick there was too much to do. however, maybe she would check with rowanleaf, just to make sure.

beewing simply rolled over when light began to filter through the den. he had a long night and he was not about to wake up right now.

opalpaw woke up with a stretch and a small yawn. the apprentice shivered slightly, it was a bit chilly out this morning. she knew, however, that it would warm up soon when the fog drifted away. after dragging herself up out of her nest, opalpaw sleepily made her wat out of the apprentices den and out into camp to see if anyone else was awake yet.

Goosepaw lay asleep in the apprentice's den. Her paw twitched slightly as she slept. She was a heavy sleeper, and probably wouldn't wake until someone came to get her.

Rowanleaf had been up for a while now, just before sunrise. He sat quietly, sifting through his herb stores. He figured he'd let Fawnpaw sleep in a bit longer. The two of them would have to collect some marigold later on, they were running low. The tom glanced out towards the camp, blinking against the sunlight as he tried to see who all was awake. Early mornings were his favorite, so quiet and calm, and not too warm. The days were starting to get colder though, which made the medicine cat worry about having enough herbs to get through the colder seasons.

Whistlesprout curled up further into his nest and sighed, he really didn't want to get up but he knew he had to. So he pulled himself out of his nest and made his way out of the den, he sat down and began to smooth his slightly messy fur.[/size]

Shell awoke in her makeshift nest and stretched, she was glad she left her clan since it was falling apart in the first place so may as well just leave by her own choice. The light-furred she-cat stood up and left the hollowed log she had built her nest in and began to look for prey.

Rowanleaf padded out of the medicine den quietly, and made his way towards the fresh kill pile. He hadn't eaten since yesterday afternoon, and his belly was rumbling loudly. He gave a friendly nod to Whistlesprout as he noticed him exiting the warriors' den.

Fogwhisker sat in the middle of camp, grooming his long fur. The morning fog left it damp and heavy feeling. He'd gotten up early to hunt, unable to fall back asleep.
